I'd like to see it as an occasional big sale, like every couple of months or so. Or even once a month, depending.
Yeah, it was a great deal. I didn't feel right about giving a penny so I gave .99 cents as well, though, I have to admit I still feel like I got a lot of games for free. :D What I found funny was that when it showed you what the prices are for games, my .99 cents went into VR Soccer '96 the rest showed as free. Made me laugh. Now that I'm looking at the gamecard though, maybe this soccer game isn't half bad. I guess I can find out now. =)

ashout: I couldn't figure out where to go after you beat the dead guy on the first mission. the objective arrow keeps pointing where the dead guy is, is that a bug or something?
After you rip the genes from the dead guy... At this point you're supposed to mutate your guys for jumping (or for melee, and the jumping genes come later?) and look for ways up. The arrow could be pointing at a ledge above. The arrow is confusing as fuck, so you're better look for viable routes on the level itself. Mind, there's a more mind-bending sequence in the second or third mission, where you're supposed to grab two components of an organic explosive and drop them close to each other at level exit. Generally, reading briefings for every mission is vital to understand what you're supposed to do.

ashout: ...except for shattered steel, that game is like pulling teeth....
You clearly didn't play the same game I did back in 1996-97...
The problem with the GOG version (and I believe any other modern version) is the collision detection. Easily fixed by reducing the processor cycles the game uses (via DOSBOX commands)

What should the cycles be reduced to? I usually play most games on cycles=max, but I guess that's not recommended here.
i don't know, i'm thinking kingdom may actually be the worse game in the whole lot.

i tried evolva again, and it was pretty good in its own way. hard game though for someone like me who is bad at puzzleing things out.

like i said, kingdom is a real peice of work. fun for short bursts i guess, but otherwise not that great of a game. i'll have to look up a walkthough one day just to see all the animation play out.

shattered steal remains a peice of crap, and i say that for one reason: your lasers take to long to recharge. I fought one bad guy, missed him 90% of the time, and then by the time i found another bad guy my lasers had recharged to a whopping 10 percent.

soccer is fun, screamer is a blast, max 1 and 2 are masterpieces and conquest of the new world rocks. jagged alliance is one hard mug, but its fun if you get the hang of it. i love the premise.

all in all, worth a penny.

I completely agree. :D

GOG giving us a chance to mess around with some crappy old games that nobody was buying is great. And it turns out, some are a little less crappy than we might have been expecting.
I only needed VR Soccer before I had every Interplay title here so I paid close to a $1 for it. Now I got 'em all and gifted the ones I had to someone pretty new to GOG.

Which America are you referring to? North, South, or Central? ;)
Maybe I'm weird but I always feel funny paying bare minimnum for a PWYW bundle (and I pretty much buy every single bundle that comes out: Humble, Royale, Gala, Goupees) because I feel like I'm gaming the system and that would lead to the elimination of these types of deals if we all did that. Though if I had no cash at a particular moment I would go for the minimum (which I have before), so for me it's about ability to pay and not just getting stuff for bare minimum. I do pay something that I think is appropriate for my level of interest in the bundle and the quality and still get it at what I consider to be a deal price. This bundle I bought for $35 dollars, because I didn't have any of these games on GOG (have a few of them on disk like the FO series, Freespace series and others) so paying about $1 a game seemed more than fair for me, actually quite a deal (especially as its in line with Steam developer catalogue sales @ 80-something %).

There's more than one 'Murica?

You may try this:

core=normal
cputype=pentium_slow
cycles=auto
cycleup=500
cycledown=20

Not trying to annoy you or anything but you should read what I've posted before.
The reason you are "missing" is because of a problem with the "hit detection" on newer systems. Try lowering the cycles on the dosbox config and you will never miss and the game will grow on you. I promise.

People in the State of Canada or State of Mexico like to think they're some other region. I guess it's a north/south thing leftovers from the War for Independents, or something. Not really sure where Canada is tbh.
