Eyes of the Hawk, Ears of the Wolf, Strength of the Bear, Speed of the Puma
Ah, BraveStarr ... used to watch it back then and think how awesome it'd be to have those powers, life would be more interesting and easier.

They don't make cartoons like that anymore :(
*ahem*

I've only ever had one intetest in gi joe : Snake eyes... Best ninja bar none...
I did play with Duke's action figure for a while. He had some epic adventures in and around the TV case in the living room Sometimes he went on jungle missions in the back yard going after some undefined inexplicable evil that hid in die cracks and canyons around the bird bath. The great wilderness of the front yard was especially dangerous - there were these unspeakably monolithic moving metal fortresses that passed by on the great tar flats beyond the wilderness. Duke didnt know what they were and always had to find cover in the petunias when one patrolled nearby...
Great NES game as well

I had all of that shit; the base, the tanks, the aircraft carrier, the space ship. I used to keep their ID cards alphabetized in a shoebox. Yeah, I was pathetic! :D

I wish we had more of this when I grew up. The only thing we had was Donald and his gay-ish disney friends, and SuperTed (Well, the latter being the coolest of those mentioned).

Occasionally we had Transformers and PowerRangers. Thanks for sharing! Too bad the directors always takes the easiest way, and makes something up for their suppressed (or screwed up) psyche/sexual fantasies...

Hello childhood, how have you been? I've missed you...

EDIT, I think I prefer the latin-spanish intro's to some of these cartoons, even beyond nostalgia. For example, I'd forgotten He-Man's intro had no lyrics beyond "He-Man" in English, meanwhile, here's the Spanish version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77jP3ofBl3Q

Also, I watched Spider-Woman for the intro theme alone: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uBDSh_sFSTo

Bravestarr still comes on where I live. Two episodes every weekday at 1am. Right after She-Ra.
I'm so jealous of you, guys, since here the only 80s cartoons we got were Thundercats, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (for some reason, despite being part of Europe, we didn't get the censored Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles the UK got), M.A.S.K., COPS, G.I. Joe, Transformers, Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs and Voltron. There were more, but these are the ones I can think of right now. During the 90s we also got The Adventures of T-Rex, Biker Mice From Mars, Swat Kats: The Radical Squadron and a few others.

I miss those shows... and I'm not one to play the "in my day" card, but it does seem like all cartoons, these days, have to a) have an anime feel to them and b) have some kind of monster collectible companion, whether inside balls, computers, cards, bikes, cars or spinning tops.

They did remake Thundercats, and I thought it was a pretty decent take on the series, camp-ing it down a lot and having great animation, but the original series will always be... well, the original series. I'm also fond of what nickelodeon is doing with TMNT, despite all the criticism that show's been getting (mostly because it's CGI, and people hate CGI just for the sake of hating it -- just go watch ReBoot, an amazing cartoon all in CG, let's see if that changes your mind).

Still, these classic cartoons don't air in my country anymore, so the only way I have to watch them again is through streaming...

LOL, loved it when the back singers sang "He-Man", very softly and gentle. Quite the contrast compared the mighty He-Man.

Yes, compared to this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xuE95tcccs, It has more power, then just saying "He-Man". But then again. I have no idea what they`re saying... :-)

Like 1st post, these are the power series that should be made a live video, non of those cartoons made today makes me feel empowered in the same way. It`s not even food for the brain, just modern crap and boring 3D.

I searched on The Centurions on play.com - and I actually found a regional free NTSC pack from US, bu I`m not sure if it is everything... Hmm, maybe I can find others and rediscover those memories...

Oh lordie, that's the one where they teleport weapon packs from a space station right?
That one was almost as strange as Sky Commanders.

YES! I actually remember that I dreamed/played that I was a Centurion...

Sky Commanders, never heard of that one before.
