That, or just PM random / nonrandom people the codes. We usually random.org things here, but that's just us. Posting it on the forum is ok, but will produce a huge pile-up on the servers.

Basically yes, however I think you can't generate a direct link , but a simple code in the form:

XXXX-YYYY-WWWW-ZZZZ

You can then send it directly to someone or, as you suggested, post it publicly: copy&pasting that code HERE (see the very bottom of the page "Redeem gift") will grant the lucky user his game

Surely not, since I reserved the right to pick candidates. Now, if any of those how posted would care to detail the gifting process, I'd be much obliged.

I'd like to pick wishes and grant them, preferably by donating a game to a username I pick.

E.g. by buying the game, and droping the license to a participant, so that the participant owns the game.

Anyone to the rescue about how I can go about this ?

See above: buy the gift code, send it with a Private Message (orange PM button near the avatar) to the user of your choice. Done.

You can buy a game as a gift, get a code on your own mail and send that code to somebody by PM.
