Robin_Seina: 2.) To finally get up achievement system running, because if GOG lacks something against steam, it is this.

Mrstarker: What is good about achievements? They only serve to artificially lengthen the game so people can get a virtual badge that nobody else cares about.
They're fun to try to get. The fact you don't care about them doesn't mean nobody else does.
The only thing i want on GoG is the foreign language option for all the games wich had the option when they were released.

Really? Tell me one player other than yourself whose achievements you care about.

Why should he? If he likes to collect achievements only to himself, it means achievements are good enough for him.

I don't care about anybody, but that doesn't mean achievements are pointless if they give me some satisfaction or anything.
Nobody else read the rules? Not even GOG crew :P

Eligibility: Open to legal residents of who are or older.

Online Entry: Enter the Sweepstakes during the Promotion Period online by signing into the entry form and perform the tasks provided. The entry form can be found on the following website at .
But I am not a legal resident of "who are" or "older". UN doesn't recognize these countries, so I can legally(?) declare war on them! Ha, I shall blunder my free chances or winning from their ruined cities.

Edit: Congratulations for 500 games.

The page loads, but a box in the middle of it is stuck forever at "Loading...". A Google search shows that this is pretty common for Rafflecopter, so I'm not sure why GOG is using them.

I guess I'll try again when I get home from work in like 10-11 hours :(

zoranivan: You don't need Facebook nor Twitter for all 8 entries. Just type a radnom Facebook username that you know exists, paste any random tweet URL (I used this: https://twitter.com/BarackObama/status/266031293945503744) and any random Twitter username (you can use BarackObama).
Wouldn't be that cheating? I don't have Facebook and Twitter, but I prefer to play legit answering only the question than doing that. I don't think it would be a good idea link my e-mail to anybody's Facebook/Twitter account...

That's exactly my point. You might as well play a game one hand behind your back and it might give you an immense satisfaction to pull that off, but it doesn't mean that these kind of things should be a wide-spread practice or that it should be encouraged with a virtual pat on the back.
Done. But I don't expect anything with my poor luck. :)

Mrstarker: but it doesn't mean that these kind of things should be a wide-spread practice or that it should be encouraged with a virtual pat on the back.
Because? I like the encouragement, because without it, I wouldn't think of them, like for example Dwarf carrying in Half Life 2.

I will turn this around - if you don't like to play with your arms tied behind your back... Don't do it? IF you don't like "achievement unlocked" messages in Steam, you may turn of social functionality in this game easily.
Including the free games I own 42 of these amazing Good Old Games.

Which is 41 more than I joined the site to purchase.

...And about 38 more than I have actually played.

But it still clutters up my interface. I can't turn that off. One thing I like about GOG is the uncluttered interface. I'd be fine if it didn't affect me in any way.

Edit: And you can't disable Steam achievements, can you? Maybe I'm just stupid, but I couldn't find such an option.

GOG.com: Should we land on Mars? Create a small DRM-free country on some lonely Pacific island?
Seriously? Your DRM free country should be on Mars, not a Pacific island! Usually you guys are better at putting two and two together . . . :)
