It's kind of like saying water is wet really. GOG is generally well regarded in pretty much in every corner of the web, with the occassional exception like the closing the website stunt or the "Sales are bad for gamers" thing.

I disagree, in my time away, I have seen many a GOG-nay-sayer. Oh, you'll hear stories about how reddit loves it, but then you post on a steam thread "Dude, GOG has the same game for cheaper, and DRM free" and then you get to hearing about how GOG is hated.

Toast_burner: Good for them. If I wanted to know whats going on in the 4chan comunity I'd go on 4chan.
I don't want to sound rude, but do you honestly think a bunch of random people saying piracy is bad is interesting? Discusions like that happen everyday.
If that were the case, GOG forums would be empty.
Well, I enjoyed the original screenshot/post. I'm going to "+" the OP, and there's nothing you can do to stop me! >:D
LMAO. That thief got owned! And on 4chan to boot!!
Thank you children. I laughed.

Almost makes you long for the days when people on sites like Abandonia were going about how crooked and evil CDP/GOG was for making money on abandonware games that should be free...

Well of course your going to see people dissing GOG in Steam related threads just like your more then likely going to see hate posts about GOG on Steam Forums, it's because heaven forbid anyone dare say anything is even slightly better then the savior of PC gaming Steam in steam releated threads and forums. But seriously though not everyone is going to say positive things, some people are just stupid like the "All GOG does is slap the game in Dosbox which is a free program and then sell it to you fer monaz instead of completly re-writing the game engine from the ground up despite the fact that it takes years and would cost them more money then they will ever see in return to do" types or there just don't want to actually pay money for a older game and so are just looking for a excuse to justify their pirating like the "Oh G0G sells abaddonwarez" types or the "well the money doesn't go to the orginal creators so why should I pay for this 15 year old game?" , then there's the steam fan boys who don't like anything that's not Steam and so on.

So the Fact is you can please some of the people some of the time but you will never please all of them all the time so the point is to win over as many people as you can and if your lucky the number of people who made into supporters far out weigh the non. It worked for Steam and that service was loathed and ridiculed(and rightly so) when it first started but look at it now it has the largest share of the Digital retail games market.

That yet has to happen to me, and I posted such stuff often.

This was way back when GOG was just coming out of its original private beta phase...it was pretty much pirates feeling butthurt over GOG daring to charge money for old games.

I've seen this happen on the Steam forums. But... they're special like that.
