Well I'm interested in Borderlands. I guess I could get it from Steam as it'll certainly be a faster download compared to GamersGate although It'll almost certainly unlock far later than it will be released on GamersGate.
So let me know if you find two other people interested in buying.

I might, but I'm still quite "on the fence". Also, how will its multiplayer matchmaking be handled? If it's GFWL, then it's single-player only for me.

Aw man, I'd love to join in, but despite how positive I am about this game, I simply must wait for release and user reviews. I never buy on release anymore.
And even then I'll probably go for normal retail, since I heard it will have a plain ol' diskcheck and nothing else. Might as well avoid Steam DRM if I can do better.

It is not a GFWL game. It will use Gamespy for multiplayer.

I just pre-ordered my copy today via Steam.
I don't think I have seen a flop from Gearbox yet.
Their Brothers in Arms series portrayed a good mix with action and strategy. Therefore, I am putting high hopes in this as well.

Probably to prevent quoting pyramids, the forum cuts off quotes deeper than 2 levels.

You can still add multiple quotes. Just so long as they're not nested within one another.
