I keep getting 404 errors trying to create topics in Nox thread and topics that I do successfully create disappear when I try to edit them HELP.
Quite a few people have reported this issue, it co-incides suspiciously with GOG being attacked with spam, then introducing anti-spam measures. My guess as to why it's a 404 is that the topic has failed to be created, then it has redirected you to the topic, which doesn't exist.

So I think your problem is that you can't create forum topics. Are you putting hyperlinks in the topic? If it is the case that the spam filter is blocking it, they tend to work by giving your post a "score" as to how likely it is to be spam. I don't know the scoring criteria, but think about how most spam posts would look, and try to not have those features.
I've been having this same issue. I can reply to topics without issue, but any time I try to make a new thread I receive a 404 error.

If that is the case, then the anti=spam settings are not helpful to legitimate new users at all :(
HERE IS THE REASON : -

Which Wpegg described in further detail already:

As TET said in the thread he responded to, the web team is on holidays, a more elegant solution should be implemented when they return.
Yep, I've been trying to post a thread since last night but can't. I'm looking to download Wolfenstein 3D at a decent price. Found a shareware version that doesn't work on Windows 8 and id Software wants $15. I'd get it on GOG but they don't have it.

All is well then :)

I wish they could fix pm links by the way. It always adds <br> when i send them!
As a reminder; new users with low rep are currently not allowed to start new topics with a link in the post; that is unfortunate, but it's the quick, hacked-together fix that we were able to deploy with most of the web team on vacation; I anticipate that a more elegant solution will be deployed next week sometime.

Apologies about the inconvenience. :(
