Crewdroog: I hate when I find toilet seats up. I personally think it's silly that it arouses so much annoyance in me, cause it's just as easy for me to put it down as it is for a guy to put it up, but still. My rage meter starts ticking.

genkicolleen: As for the toilet seat, I demand my seat to be down! Do you know how much it sucks to stumble into the bathroom at night and literally fall down into the toilet?? It SUCKS! :p The first time it happened after I got married, I told my husband that I fell in, and he has never left it up again! (What a good boy :D )
I'm another lady in the toilet seat/lid down camp. It keeps the dog and cats out, and it just looks neater when you go into the washroom. And while I have never fallen in before, I have come close. ;) We keep them down in our house but, when staying with relatives, I have been known to go in and put the cover down if I'm walking by the bathroom and see it up. Just a little particular, LOL.
Congrats to MadyNora and interesting replies. I did find it very peculiar that the more common replies related to the seat being up. As a guy, I never leave it or the cover up, since I find it strange for the toilet water to be exposed in the air some reason (perhaps it was my upkeep). Yet, I don't have too much of a problem with it in public bathrooms since there is no real toilet cover to speak of, just the seat, from the ones I have been in. If any of you are aware of the show called South Park, they centered half an episode (the other half was parodying the TSA) on this sort of thing. Warning, if this show offends you, just don't look at the link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reverse_Cowgirl_%28South_Park%29
grats to MadyNora, a well deserved win! and thanks again to our wonderful host, htown1980. :)

Shadowstalker16: No, ofc not. They're as same as us, living, eating etc. Anyway, you won't have to deal with many up there lol. Most snakes are non-venomous and actively keep away from humans since they know who the killers are. And killing them is as bad as killing any other wildlife. And,I kinda connect with them since they clearly don't mean any harm and are still misunderstood and persecuted. Just because they don't appear to have emotion. A trait myself and a lot of people here I'm sure can connect with.

FoxySage: Yes, that is what i like about my country. Too cold for snakes to live in (well, we have one species sadly enough). If you hadn't gathered it yet from my response i'm deadly afraid of snakes to the point i've had a few nightmares with them. =)

And yes, i know not all are venomous but they're still creepy and it isn't because their don't appear to have emotions.
I had a similar thing with spiders. Some fear that even though I know there not dangerous, they can do......something.......It helps when you learn stuff about them; and I've gradually tried to increase my tolerance. Still not gone completely though, but it helps.

Oddly enough i actually wasn't always scared of them. As a kid i used to visit the terrarium at the zoo. The fear just kind of crept up on me. *shrugs*

Slithered, obviously.
