This is pretty awesome but I have all or at least all of the games I would want from this but still good for those just getting started for sure.

Would be cool to get Max Payne... but Rockstar has hold on that property and we all know how they feel about DRM-Free stuff.

Yeah a big part of buying games here is the uniformity of the look and feel of the installers, which I love here.

They've just mentioned that it's a possibility that they will release a physical version, but they will only do it if there's a lot of demand for it as it will take a lot time/effort/money to put together.

Now I'm tempted to buy it now to show support, but then I'd have to buy it again if the box version does come out.

They make it really hard to figure out where to buy it...

So did anyone buy this. I have few questions if you did:

1) Are the original manuals available?
2) Are all the extras available? For example, Rise of the Triad had a shareware episode that did not appear in the full game, as well as other levels, editors... etc that were available before even if you didn't buy the game (see link). Are these still available for all games?

Havn't played Mystic Towers for a long time and never did finish Prey...

If these were on gog I'd consider re-getting some even though I've been putting off duke3d as it is.

Well, so I decided to buy the anthology. Here are some notes, if anyone is interested:

_It's more or less like GoG. The games appear in your library and you can download them DRM free. You get the free games as soon as you sign up.

_Games are bundled with Dosbox. The configuration seems to work ok. If you want to change anything, you have to change the dosbox config file.

_Manuals are there (I haven't checked all games, but they were there for the ones I checked). There is no link to them in the start shortcut folder, but they are easily located in the install directory. Pdf format.

_Extras seem to be available, but you have to look for them in the install directory. For example the shareware, extreme and rejected extra levels of Rott, are in a zip in the install folder. They were as separate downloads on the old 3d Realms website.

Overall:
I already had some of those games, the ones I was most interested in. However, it did have some games I don't own and would like to play, notably Shadow Warrior. The ones I didn't have were worth about 65$ if bought individually, out of which 40$ were ones I'm interested in. I think it was a good deal.
I believe/hope the extras will be made available as separate downloads and documented properly later as soon as they complete the move to the new website. Just like they were on the old site.

Thanks for checking that out. I plan on buying everything there, because Apogee was my gaming childhood. I do hope they bring back all the content missing from the original site, like the cheat codes section, as well as all the extra download material. So when you buy the anthology, it's not just one product on your shelf, but it unlocks all the games so you can download individual installers? And there's definitely no extra levels zip or anything anywhere in the ROTT directory?

Is the version of Raptor they are selling the original release?
