does the gog installer support the 32bit and 64 bit or are they 2 different installers?
I don't have Banished myself, but with all of the other games I have it's just a single installer for Windows.

Both x86 and x86_64 are included in the installer, and it seems the installer detects whether or not you are on a 64-bit system (I only got the 32-bit version installed, since Crossover cannot run 64-bit binaries yet - haven't tested a 64-bit capable version of Wine).

on my 'Puter (win 7 64 bit) it installed "Runtime-x64.dll" so it does indeed look like it detects between 32 or 64 bit systems & installs accordingly

Did you get the -x32 files as well?

it may be in the installer (I don't know how to look in those) but no, I just got the x64 runtime.

plus videodx dll files for 9 & 11 in x64 flavor

Alright, so the installer checks what system it's running on and then only installs the files for that platform (thus not giving 64-bit users the option of running the game in 32-bit mode, even if they wanted to).
