Leroux: True, but the package itself doesn't require FB, just the $5 offer. If the games are any good, I'd be willing to pay the extra $5 dollars instead of selling my soul. ;)

hedwards: I've been contemplating the logistics of getting an FB account and then never posting anything to it or doing anything other than friending accounts for the perks.

FB isn't quite as evil as you think it is, just don't be stupid enough to post anything at all on it, and don't give it your real name or contact information and there's little they can do to hurt you.

But, FB is 99.8% as evil as you think it is. Stay strong.
Yeah, I know, but nevertheless I would rather pay more than support offers like this that are connected to having a FB account and spamming your friends. Anyway, it's probably just a hypothethical discussion from my standpoint as I expect my rig will be too old and too close to the low end side to enjoy all of the games I'm interested in. We'll see.

Who says the fake account has to have any friends? :P
Also, I let it post to my wall and then immediately deleted the post. Don't know if anyone even could have seen it.

But it's still supporting the idea, taking part in their game (even if you cheated). ;)

People that use FB kind of deserve it.

Deserve to pay the only the half and be some some kind of privileged first class citizens of the world? I'm not supporting that idea. ;)
Can you download these as DRM free installers like in the humble bundle?

kalirion: Has anyone used Desura? What's it like?
Given that it's fairly new on the scene, it's pretty good. The code redemption works well, the interface is OK, and on the whole it's not very intrusive. It seems like it's been designed to coexist with clients like xfire and Steam.

I've only just started trying its mod management features, but that gives it an edge over most of the other DD platforms, and it's a good reason to keep it installed.

Only downside is that it forgets my password about once every two weeks and leaves the login window hanging on my desktop.

SirPrimalform: The 6-Pack was all in one big .zip file, which was slightly annoying.
Odd, they must have changed it. I picked up that pack a few weeks ago (saw it on RPS) and it had links for each separate game and a link to one big zip file.

Aztaka is awesome! :D

The link in my email leads to a mostly empty page with the Indie Games Pack logo at the top and the text "Click here to download Indie Games Summer Six Pack (Full) 1.6 GO Discount" which links to the .zip file. Did you get the facebook discount, because that's the only thing I can think of that might be different.

I haven't played Aztaka yet, but the fact I had heard it was good was 90% of the reason I got the pack.

I had a friend get the games for me since Paypal decided to hate me that day and I was worried I would miss out on the sale. He sent me the link he got which took me to the page I have attached right below this message. Silly me was downloading them one by one until I noticed there was a pack of all in one zip. :p

That's exactly what my download page looks like, apart from the fact that mine only has the full pack link. How odd!

Thanks for that, now I have even more games :D And thank God for having a dummy Facebook account for times like this

Very. The internet is such a weird place. And cold. :(
I just bought the 'buygamesnotsocks' pack. So far I have only tried Steel Storm. Its lovely. Easily worth twice the price of the entire pack.
