I've seen from 1 to 6. I thought they were all brilliant in their own ways.
Although, they should probably wrap it up pretty soon. I get the impression that it is beginning to tire its own concept.

michaelleung: Who saw the new episode of 24 last night? I downloaded it (hey, I live in Hong Kong!), and it was OK, even though it sort of made close-to-zero sense.

Crassmaster: As someone who despised last season (it was ludicrously uneven) I'm enjoying this year so far. Hopefully they keep the continuity going.

I loved Season 7. I thought it was far better than Season 6, even though yeah the whole issue about Tony was somewhat absurd.
Downloading the first ep of season 8 tonight.
This season has Katee Sackhoff (AKA Kara "Starbuck" Thrace from Battlestar Galactica), so I'll have to give it a chance just because of that. Every interview I have seen with her, and everything else I have read about her, makes me think she is a pretty cool chick. The rest of it... meh so far... pretty formulaic

Really? I can't stand her. The very fact she is in it means it has to be ball bouncingly good for me to watch it.
CTU looks too... fancy and professional. Oversized screens, drones patrolling New York City... that's not the clandestine anti terror agency I used to know and love!

Yeah, S7 (just ended a few weeks ago here) was pretty weird, what with Tony helping and not helping and helping Jack.

PoSSeSSeDCoW: (I just went into it with the assumption that everyone I knew in season 1, except Jack and Kim, were dead).

You're 95% right.

Each to their own ;). Doesn't matter to me anymore, because Annie Wersching (AKA Renee Walker) is back from last season. Redhead, freckles, and her character is a full blown psycho-bitch. For me that translates to: "Resistance is Futile". Regardless of how bad the plot gets, as long as she is alive, I'll watch the show. Call me shallow, if you want, but I know what I like.
