Stilton: Boring question: does anybody have their entire GOG collection downloaded, extras and all, or do you download a game only when you want to play it?

I've got the lot downloaded, and it feels like half the hut is being taken up. Maybe I'll just download when I want something to play.
I have everything (except purchases over the last 2-3 weeks) on an external. Extras, Mac, & Windows. However, I haven't downloaded any updates since summer and, with my large collection, the little number next to "account" currently reads 72.

I'll have those updates downloaded within a few weeks and will then do my research to see whether I want it installed or not. For example, the new Witcher 1 isn't compatible with my OS 10.7 and I'm not upgrading yet, so no install there...

Stilton: FLACs are way too bulky - MP3s are enough for me, too.
Have come to this conclusion recently myself and will likely delete FLACs when I need to free up some space.

Its like having a big family - the more members, the greater the level of responsibility. Except for the FLACs; they can FLAC off...

Talking of which, I've just had a new arrival. We've named him The Banner Saga. AAhhh, cute...

*collapses in a fit of giggles* :D
The only flash deal repeating from the very recent sale I see is Shadowrun Dragonfall (with a deeper discount now).
Am I right?

CarrionCrow: All right, time to get serious. Not going to buy Hatoful Boyfriend because it doesn't feel like "scream at the screen" bad, it really feels more like a "oh man, I feel kinda dirty, let's shut this crap off" kind of deal.
That looks weird/creepy, and not in a good way.

Exactly. Which is why I now have Banner Saga downloading instead of that. ;)

I couldn't agree more.
What I think is that most of those fervent advocates of FLAC sound format cannot tell a difference between FLAC and MP3.

The more I look at my new avatar effect (sorry to go on about it - call me Vain the Viking) the less it looks like snow and the more it looks like magic sparkles (still fairly appropriate for Christmas) or even rapidly evaporating bird doo (not really appropriate for Christmas, at least not where I live).

I suppose anyone who gazes into a mirror long enough will find the unpleasant thing or things they were convinced they would never see...

Phew, that's waaay too deep for two minutes to midnight on a Friday.

You're a sparkle Viking.

There, is that a shallow enough statement to pull you back from late-night introspective depths? =)

Additional - with all the flash sale crap, is it too much to ask for that maybe Escape Goat 2 or Volgarr might show up?
There's an image....Stilton all pouty playing Volgarr, saying to themselves, "I'm not a sparkle Viking....that dumb eyeball doesn't know what they're talking about....see how good I kill those monsters with my flaming sword? See that!?!?! I'm a real Viking!!!!!!"

I suppose that anyone with blonde flowing delicate windswept wafting hair is entitled to a bit of midnight vanity, especially if a Viking on top.

Its made me doubt my masculinity now - is that what I fear in the mirror? That all that chest beating, raw meat and yelling in victory was a sham? Should I be a marauding, muscle-bound Nordic giant, or a receptionist at a health spa? The mirror doesn't lie!!!!!

You could always do both, ya know....
Maraude for your 9 to 5, then get manicures and answer telephones by screaming into them on the weekends.
Don't limit yourself.

I proudly download, EVERYTHING. ;-) The installers, just English windows versions.

There is an *audible* difference between FLAC and Mp3. Besides. If you download the FLAC version (yes its a pain to store as it does start to eat up free space) you can convert them to MP3.
*follows the exchange between Stilton and CarrionCrow with great interest and enjoyment*
