HypersomniacLive: Good morning, DD!

Can't say that this excites me one bit.
That's true. Lets hope for fireworks then instead. :-)

How are you today?

ddickinson: Good morning Hyper!

Maybe the finale will be the two games that were hinted at on Twitter, but never actually appeared in the flash sale.

Which games hinted at on Twitter... ?

The Penumbra collection and Amnesia 1. Games lost to the whole regional pricing thing a while back.

adaliabooks: Nice to see the ninja gifting continues :)
If you're not on GOGWiki, we can't easily target you. ;-) ;-) ;-)

Whatever we hope for, I'm sure we'll be let down; after all, GOG's master of anticlimatic finales. ;-P

Got a couple of pleasant things planned for the day, so I'm good. How are you?

I'm good thank you. Always lots of things to keep me occupied at work. At least I get Christmas morning off this year. It's quite cold and wet here, which I'm used to, but it can make things difficult, especially when cows decide to stray away from their shelter and not do as they are told.

LaPtiteBete: HO YEAH, YOU DID IT !!! :D
You can count on me, I'll be there !! ^^
Be sure to drop by on our riveting discussion of breakfast comestibles. And all manner of things unhealthy to eat.

j0ekerr: And I've never ever played any M&M games (yes, I'm filthy, unclean, don't look at me, DON'T LOOK AT ME! specially not in a thong). So I'm curious about them.
avatar
PaterAlf: Check your PM. It might help you to feel clean again. :)
avatar
LaPtiteBete: I've never played M&M neither :-|
avatar
PaterAlf: Can't stand people who never played Might and Magic. Check your PM as well.
Seriously, this is an amazing gift. Take a note Naruto. This is truly the most awesome of ninja jutsus and not the bullcrap you guys pull at the hidden village of the leaf.

As a gesture of good will towards humanity, I will destroy those pictures of me in a thong.

LaPtiteBete: Does somebody know when the next Sales will be set ? :)
Two weeks from now, GOG will launch their 'New Year' sales. As befitting a holiday where the idea is to stay up to ring in the new year, it'll be a much-wanted Insomnia sale lasting from the 29th December to the 5th of January. 201.5 games (that's 201 games, and a stand-alone DLC) up for sale :D

Good morning. =) I could go for a good Insomnia sale, but will probably need until March to get my coin back up to a decent enough level to attack it fully. SERIOUSLY hoping they don't decide to get cute and drop one early, considering the double slog that's finishing up now.

Perhaps you should introduce them to a GOG game or two. ;-P

It's cold here too, but thankfully not wet - we haven't had a drop of rain in the past three days which was a nice change after over two weeks of nonstop pouring, and I hope that the heavy clouds don't suggest that we're in for another round.

CarrionCrow: Was thinking of a mage's squishy tendencies. Not so much optimization as trying to keep them alive long enough to build up. -laughs-
Can't remember the boss fight you're referring to, but taking that as a reminder that I need to run through Returns again. Also, a mage/decker should be doable. You'll take an Essence hit, which in turn will start screwing with spell cooldowns if it gets out of hand, but if you're only putting a datajack in for decking, it shouldn't be too bad.
Well, yeah. She was a semi-squishy mage. That's why i kept the character in the back of the party and used melee as a backup if enemies came into close combat. ;-) I'm pretty used to playing squishy casters in rpgs by now and surround them with meaty meat shields as protection. >.>

But aside from that one fight in the asylum i didn't really have a lot of troublesome fights, tbh.

The essence hit is probably was why i decided against that hybrid build. Wanted to play a build that at least synergized a little for the first playthrough, while i was still learning the mechanics of the game. Which was a good thing since i accidentally made a newbie mistake that caused me to have almost no money throughout the game. Thought i had to buy gear for the party members so i wasted 1800+ money on that. Most of that was a useless (really good) cyberdeck for my decker companion. >_<

Well, at least you went with something different. Don't usually think mage and melee in the same thought, but at least you tried.
Also, I did the same thing initially. Spent the money on unnecessary items, got burned, got to backtrack. -laughs-

Depends on how much money I could scrape together. But, if it shows up before my coin's replenished, I'll contribute to tracking, info gathering, all that good stuff while others do what they can to clear it out. An Insomnia sale is a good thing for GOG overall, so even if I can't get in on it I wouldn't tell them to stop. (as if they listen to me in the first place :) )

Good morning everyone.

Just over two hours left now, then it is finally(?) over. At which point I will re-locate to the new thread :-)
