CarrionCrow: I'm over 100 games in after the tag team torture sales. If they throw Insomnia up without recovery time from that? You'll be able to hear me screaming all the way in the U.K.
Hell, Niggles'll probably hear me in Australia....

Niggles: you rang? ;). hahahah

Im wondering why http://www.gog.com/game/challenge_of_the_five_realms is such a poor seller?. classic game. But slumped in the backend of the catalogue?. Is there a problem with it aside from the 100 day limit to finish the game?
Good question, and interesting besides that you mention that particular game. Had someone look at my list, see that game there and respond by saying, and I quote, "You have Challenge of the Five Realms? That game SUCKS...."
But they never did elaborate on why it supposedly sucks so much.

ddickinson: If they did, I just hope they make it more interesting. I think a third sale like this will definitely finish us all off. A good dose of insomnia sale would be nice. Maybe not two weeks worth, but a few days of frantic buying and everyone awake, rather than half asleep, would be a nice change.

PaterAlf: I'd really like a new insomnia sale. But they should really wait three months before they do another major sale. Too many sales in a row are just tiring.
imho they were squeezed for time. somehow they may have found out when evil empires sale was on and decided to have ours well before it.....(or they had a guess....)

I'm sure I would be able to hear you, after all, I could hear you screaming after you played a certain avian dating game. ;-)

Is Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers the DOS or the Windows version?

I agree, hopefully we will have a bit of respite from these kind of sales. The first one finished Sinistar off, and the second one has taken it's toll on CarrionCrow. Even the might of the Legion was helpless against the slow death pace of the sale. :-)

At this point, I'd do another one out of sheer spite.

If you're referring to the remake, pretty sure it's a straight Windows version. DOS would be much more likely in the case of the original, I'd figure.

I'm sure you would. But hopefully you won't have to face that any time soon.

While we are on the subject, I just wanted to say a big thank you to you and all the other girls and guys who helped you keep the tracker up to date. Despite the slow sale, the thread has been wonderful, and it's nice to see a new thread ready for when the sale ends.

Not a problem. =)
Lots and lots of time on my hands, figured I might as well put it to good use. Talking with good people and having fun certainly qualifies. Also, pretty sure we would have had to come together as a community to talk Sinistar down from the nearest ledge if they had to go back-to-back in such a short amount of time. -laughs-

I mean the original one. There's a DOS and a Windows version of it. And a version without and with voice dialogs. GOG delivers the version with voice dialogs, but I don't know if this is coupled with the Windows version or also possible for the DOS version. The usual lack of documentation on GOG. :(

As the GOG version already is English only and misses all other languages I don't want to be surprised by the Windows version which is marked garbage in Wine.

No clue as far as further info goes, sorry. Looking at the forum, it's saying Judas is online right now. Would say he's got a better chance of having the info you're looking for. Worth a shot, anyway.

Or, ya know, Grargar could pop in like an info-slinging ninja and answer your question for you.....-laughs-

It's the DOS version, according to this GOGmix.
More confirmation.

Gooooood Moooooorning Goooooog!

In these very few last hours, here we are, a few of us, the brave, the bold, the too-stupid-to-be-somewhere-else.

I'm still deciding wether or not to get a bundle or two.

Age of wonders is well loved and cheap enough that even if I don't like it, it won't hurt too much. And I've never ever played any M&M games (yes, I'm filthy, unclean, don't look at me, DON'T LOOK AT ME! specially not in a thong). So I'm curious about them.

But as far as RPGs go, I've still to play through the whole D&D bundle. So I just know they'll simply sit there.

On the other hand they might make good Xmas gifts.

Edit: I think I'm getting Far Cry nonetheless. Just because.
More edits: Has there been any meaningful discussions about STALKER? I know I did ask already but things wen't in another dir... oooh something shiny...

Ahem. well, is it a pure shooty experience? Or does it hide a more complex mechanic than just SHOOT EVERYTHING TO DEATH!

lol !!!
Good morning j0ekerr !
I've never played M&M neither :-|
I've played Baldur's Gate series... I've bought the D&D collection from last Fall Sale, it worth it !!
So... only a few hours left... what will we do next ?? Get back in our normal lives ?...
Does somebody know when the next Sales will be set ? :)
Have a nice monday (as if mondays could be nice...) !
HoMM2 is a personal favorite. I had a 486 I held on to for far longer than was practical because I just liked playing that game on that machine. I don't know why that mattered, but it did. Sentimental malfunction of reality most like.

Far Cry was a lot of fun.
