ddickinson: That's usually my attitude as well. I have enough games to keep me occupied, so I tend to skip many of the sales, at least until I have played some of the games I buy.
Its nice having a lot of games, but sometimes I can scroll down my entire list and still wonder which one to choose. Silly, really.

CarrionCrow: Not bad, but I hope to do better next time.

ddickinson: I was never too keen on the whole insomnia sale idea, it seemed unfair to those who have a slow connection, those who keep getting a visit from the GOG Bear, or those who missed a game while it was on. But after this slow sale, I actually look forward to the next insomnia sale.
It's a sale for the extremely, almost violently stubborn.
I live in the middle of nowhere. My connection is a bad joke compared to that of many others. Getting Atlas bear trying to shove their finger in my eye is a standard occurrence.
Would get pissed, then I'd get determined to grab everything I wanted regardless. If I missed something (rare, but it did happen due to oversleeping once), I'd say to hell with it and gear up for getting it the next round.

xieliming: Has Shadowrun: Dragonfall been on sale yet today? *fingers crossed it shows up in next 17 hours*
Shadowrun: Dragonfall will be showing up in 20 minutes. I have also sent you a PM, to ensure that you won't miss this notification.

Kudos to you for having a good memory and looking out for them. Remembered, then forgot in a frenzy to get out of the store before I did something....bad.

Its funny, but all the eye/head pain and lack of sleep only take an edge off the fun of the Insomnias. Watching that slider go down is ridiculously exciting.

Stilton: So did everyone get their quota of sale titles?
avatar
ddickinson: One or two, but nothing to substantial. I was mainly using the sale to get gifts for people and my Secret Santa. How about you?
Secret santa kinda screws things up for us who wont partake but gift anyway ;)

What do you think about the idea of mixing the two sale types together? Have it like it is now, but have a game appear in the flash sale for a very limited time and with limited stock, just like the insomnia sale. That way those who prefer to take their time can concentrate on the regular flash games, but those who want a bit of excitement, could fight over the limited stock insomnia game that would constantly pop up.

It's a good way to keep energy levels up - one mad dash after another, after another, after another. -laughs-

I guess the best solution next year would be to have two lists if they still want to get other gifts. One for Secret Santa, and one for ninja gifters. :-)

Somehow that makes me admire you even more ;D
All right. One known and seventeen unknowns left. The sale enters its final 12 hours!

I was just going to say that. ;)
We'll make it after all. I still can't find a single thing I want though.

Thank Odin, it'll soon be over.
