penumbren: That is an amazing description. It's too bad we can't make it alt-text for that picture.

....this sale is getting to me. I bought MoO1+2 this morning and I don't even like those types of games, normally.

*sigh*

At least my husband said they looked interesting to him.
I hope he enjoys them, I remember playing one of them years ago (like, 15+ years ago) and couldn't really appreciate the depth back then. Now I have so many "spiritual successors" that I've played I'm not sure that I'd even enjoy trying them now.

Kaeoschassis: Wait a minute... what the heck is going on with everyone avatars this time..?
IAmSinistar build an avatar using all the avatars from people helping with the tracking of the sale, therefore forming the tracker Legion :D

CarrionCrow: It hasn't gone any lower this sale. Was also an item I kept looking at but never pulling the trigger on. (Thank you again, Hyper, for that. =) ) Thinking 50 percent is as good as you'll get this time around.
avatar
Kaeoschassis: Alright, thanks for that. Probably just take the leap and grab it, then!

Mind virus. Madness in digital form. Infect, contaminate, assimilate. ;)

Hyper gifted Darklands to you, eh? Very nice:) Do you normally write reviews for games on here once you've completed them?

moonshineshadow: Buuuh... but you are part of it ;-(
Sorry, got the memo late, all is rectified now! :-)

avatar
FoxySage: I don't find it confusing. :D I usually look at the name first, before the avatar.

[...]
Given how you tend to see things that aren't there, I say you made the right choice. ;-P

avatar
trentonlf: No, the horror genre is not really my thing. Only horror games I have liked are The Walking Dead seasons 1&2, Seven Days to die, and I can't think of any others LOL
GOG's Winter Sale? ;-P

avatar
Ragnarblackmane: We're all a little mad, here;)

Why are you so incensed he hasn't played those games? I haven't either, so don't hold that against me, I'm just curious:)
Not surprised, IIRC, no dwarves star in them. :-P

Only have one other time. It involved hatred, self-loathing, elephant shit, pigeon sex, processed cheese and riding crops.

Funny you should mention this, I'm in the process of trying to make a GOGMix of all the games that feature Dwarves ;)

Well, if someone wanted to try the series out, what would you recommend first?
By series I mean that bundle in general.

Ah... Jolly good. Carry on then.

Hmm...sounds like college to me.

trentonlf: Gahhh, I keep having to look at names instead of the avatar LOL
avatar
Ragnarblackmane: Same here, at least we have our trusty, easy to distinguish avatars still active:)

foxworks: Welcome back! I would highly recommend Theme Hospital.
avatar
Ragnarblackmane: I never found myself too interested in this game, but I've been watching a BBC period drama called alternately London Hospital and Casualty 1906 and now want to play some sort of Edwardian-era hospital game. Is there a way to change the time period in Theme Hospital? Even if not, is it worth getting?
Same time period each play through so there's no changing it. I played it in '97 and again a few years back. Still a fun, enjoy able game. For $1.19 - helluvadeal ;-)
All right....speed game's down, so it's time to figure out what kind of character to make for Shadowrun: Dragonfall. Can go tech or magic, but going both at once will be like kicking myself in the ass power-wise.
Visiting this forum is lot like the days when I used hallucinogenics. Cool!

Haven't got Dragonfall yet. My playthrough on Shadowrun Returns was with a techy pistol user (Yes, pistols, specifically because people said they were underpowered. They so aren't) so I guess when I do get around to Dragonfall I'll almost certainly go magic. Have you run through Returns yet?

Yes, I ran through it as a decker to start (my own given when it comes to RPG's - if there's a locked ANYTHING, I want to be able to open it). Just threw together a troll adept who uses unarmed attacks and throwing weapons, just to see how their attack is compared by cybered up street samurai using guns.

Know exactly what you mean about the locks. Anytime I make a new character in anything they have to be able to lockpick. It's even worse in the newer Fallouts since they have to have lockpicking AND hacking. We all have our little gaming quirks I suppose.
