CarrionCrow: Not surprised that they didn't double up since they've got the title you mentioned as part of the continuing "flash" rotation at 80 percent off, so it's already only 1.20 if you get it during one of those times.
Fair enough. I wasn't thinking of that.

CarrionCrow: If you play through the two, by the end you will absolutely know why the prices are what they are. -laughs-
That's what you say and yet Master of Orion 1+2 is cheaper than Master of Orion 3. :P

ddickinson: I know that :-). But it is still strange, there are many games on here where the first is good, and the sequel not so good. Yet they don't charge double for the good games.
Marketing at its finest - the first had value as a curiosity originally, but after the second became a thousand times more popular than it ever had a right to be, they took advantage of the splash increase of popularity that the first got by sharing a name with something that's really really bad....
If not for all that, they'd be doing well to sell the first one for 6 and the second for 3 or 4.

I'd say that for that series, it's the company using all the praise of the first two to spike the price for the 3rd in order to nail completionists and the unwary.
I've heard boatloads of bad things about the 3rd one but will still end up with it eventually because of the aforementioned completionist tendencies.

It's on my shelf. :)

You have 739 games. Odds are highly in favor any game mentioned by anyone being on your shelf. -laughs-
Also? Seriously envious of that number....
515 here, so I have a LONG way to go to play catch-up.

ddickinson: They are all fun games, well worth a play. They are not the best, but they are great 90's FMV b-movie type games. I was just expecting games like Amnesia to be part of a horror bundle.
I have the drm-free version of Amnesia:Dark Descent but haven't been all that curious about it until learning that the setting was Victorian England. I assume you've played it and knowing my own gaming likes and dislikes, to an extent, do you think I'd find it worth my time?

True true.

Well, I guarantee you, it happens a lot faster than you will expect. I was at 515 not that long ago... :)

EDIT: It will happen a lot faster (for you) than you (CarrionCrow) will expect. Many people aren't like us. ;)

Niggles: morning ppl.

So what games are people left to decide getting before sales over in a few days ?... mmmmm Wotn vs remaining bundles.....
Rise and shine, folks Down Under!

Not waiting on any games now, pretty much everything on my wishlist is either locked up in Secret Santa or not coming on sale here. Doesn't mean I won't buy anything else in the sale though, as GOG surprised me yesterday with the Anomaly titles and today with the Phantasmagorias. If they toss the Pandemoniums in a bundle tomorrow, they'll get another purchase from me.

Unfortunately, I have not played it yet, it is part of my overly large backlog of games. So sadly I can't really comment on how it plays. But I'm sure someone else here will be able to offer some advice.

I'm a completionist but i don't own Master of Orion 3. Although i haven't played master of orion 1+2 yet. Just bought them to try out later since i have heard so many goods things of them and i'm a TBS fan.

Giving serious thought to saving the money to wipe out any 5.99 tier items left on my list in one shot during the next half off sale, along with any low-priced DLC items. That should knock about a third off the list right off the bat.
If I can clear out the old, cheaper items en masse, I can go from there and start spending more money on bigger items and get rid of those as well.

Same here. Grabbed the Phantasmagorias today, will grab the Pandemoniums if they show. My wishlist also locked up or not coming on sale, with the added category of wishlisted-but-not-steep-enough-yet (the biggies).
Hey folks!

A long day is coming to its end, and I have finally some time to spend here.
I see we got a horror FMV bundle which I already own, and a really meagre Butllfrog's best of which only Theme Hospital presents an interest to me. Did these make some peeps here happy?
Obligatory question - has anything changed in the Flash Deals?

Frankly, I'm too tired to even skim through the previous pages, so could someone give the summary of the day?

My eye caught that our resident Agent wasn't doing so well earlier, is he better now?

Oh, and I got wind of an awesome picture that IAmSinistar put together, a college from our avatars?
