LaPtiteBete: I just bought Quest for Infamy and Beyond Good and Evil... :)
Midnight...
Good night everybody! See you tomorrow !
Good night, sleep tight!

PaterAlf: ...And if you even want it to be more similar to the old games, you can use some of the community mods.
That's a good point. Are the mods compatible with the GOG version, do you know?

I used two mods (a map pack and a mod that improved the UFO crashsites) and both of them worked fine with the GOG version.
Since I can't buy anything I'll go to bed now, listen to some music and try to sleep. See you all tomorrow morning (whoever is stil awake then)
:-)

I've just been looking around at some mod sites and there seems to be quite a lot of worthwhile stuff. Difficult to know if any/all are GOG compatible, though. It would certainly make the game more appealing if they are.

Good night, and while you're lying in your bed and listening to music, think about my proposal. Sweet dreams! :-)

We seem to be the GOG matrons, tucking people into bed and giving them warm milk ;-)

Never thought I'd say this, but yay repeats! A lot of good games for me to pass on then agonize over! Glad to know I can have a few shots at something if I keep wavering and realize too late I made a mistake.

That's the GOG patented built in safety net at work ;-)
GOG's just spoiling us at this point. I'm on a tight budget right now and the telepathic team at GOG knows that, so they throw the fall sale (which I survived without purchasing anything) and the winter sale (I feel like I'm about to break and go on an all out spending spree now) within a few weeks of each other.
good lord repeats already.Oh well only for 48 hours....

As far as I know the stuff from their forum should work fine with any DRM-free version. Can't guarantee it, of course.

Haha, we seem indeed, especially since our host seems to have vanished for quite a while now.

Not sure I'll hold out much longer myself, haven't slept since Tuesday and my body is quietly starting to say it's time to lie down.

BTW, since your avatar doesn't zoom in, it looks like you got a chess board all over your face and head.

I was worried that with the short time frame and new(ish? er?) games they might be one and done! Good to know I can sit here with the shakes staring at Game X :)
