budejovice: Same here. Lots of my long-term wishlist is on sale here, but 20-50% on $20+ games is a lot tougher than 80% on $5.99 games.

Stilton: And like everyone here who's number of GOG games well exceeds anything even remotely related to normal (I can't quite believe I've got as many as I have) I've been stung enough times by impulse buys to pull back and let my brain resume control before leaping for the Add To Cart button.
I was that way with Risen 2 also, I decided not to buy unless it was over 75% off. It is, so I am. ;)

Ixamyakxim: I'm the exact same way with games in my "maybe" category. And like you I'm inclined to listen to that gut feeling when it comes to an "almost but not quite there yet" feeling!

Thats what happens with influx of indie (wont say pricier & regional pricing....but) games....

budejovice: It is a difficult skill to learn and/or implement, but I may just be getting a little bit better with each sale. You know, now that I own most of the catalog... :)

Niggles: Trying to beat Barry? ;)
I'm nowhere near! Well, getting closer to tell the truth. But he definitely has GOG games that I'll never be able to procure. And, though small, there's always a chance my "will-not-buy" list is slightly bigger than his. :)

AgentBirdnest: So... If I want to send someone a gift, I should make sure they don't have it on their Secret Santa wishlist. Right?

(I have always sucked at group activities with instructions.)
Or pick someone that isn't partaking in the Secret Santa event. :-D

Having enough games 'in reserve' definitely helps. But I'm pleased that my only purchase so far (Dragonfall) was based on reviews/game quality and that my former headless chicken/gotta have it/yipeee!/right finger buying spasm thing has so far not featured. Hopefully it won't (as long as I sit on my hands and tell my nose to keep away from the keyboard I should be okay) ;-)
There is Wasteland 2 again.
Our first repeat?

Beat by a 'whisker'. ;)

Not a common one though - did you notice all the trinkets on his uniform? ;-P

Ixamyakxim: Did you ever play and enjoy the original XCOM? I'm most likely pulling the trigger on Xeno but I haven't looked at gameplay beyond the video here, and the reviews / comments.

I'm curious because if you never played XCOM, I won't worry too much about you thinking it's slow... but if you played and loved XCOM I might have to take a look at a few gameplay videos myself...!
Just my oppinion, but when you played and loved the original X-Com game (especially Ufo Defense and Terror from the Deep), you should give Xenonauts a try.
Regarding the gameplay it's very similar to the old games. They changed some things (like the equipment management, the ability to use alien technology or the interceptor combat), but overall it's a worthy successor. And if you even want it to be more similar to the old games, you can use some of the community mods.
I just bought Quest for Infamy and Beyond Good and Evil... :)
Midnight...
Good night everybody! See you tomorrow !
I have 20€ to spend for the whole month. I'm definitely not prepared for this sale. ;_;
