Kaeoschassis: We have a 'pet' rescue crow - well a rook, actually, but still a member of the crow family. She has effectively no tailfeathers so, hey, this is probably a great time for impulse buying!

donsanderson: Makes perfect sense to me. ;)
You need to go back to the catalog and find more stuff. Looking at your wishlist and seeing only 15 items? Shocking....-laughs-
avatar
donsanderson: I understand the completionist thing.
Please check your PMs when you get a chance. ;-)
You silly bugger! You can't just go around gifting people willy-nilly! I am seriously thankful only I'm afraid that was also a game I'd listed for my Secret Santa list. But ho, a suggestion was made: If I get a copy from that I just go ahead and make a GA.

Therefore, I will gratefully redeem the key with much thanks and many +1s.

Sad thing is there are some on there I don't really want. GOG needs to expand the catalog, I am seriously running out of stuff I want here. Actually bought two from Desura a couple of days ago. :/

I can be as willy-nilly as I want. :P Enjoy and certainly gift any duplicates. ;)

I know this'll sound insane from someone with the kind of list I do, but I feel the same. Independents don't draw my attention nearly as much as older games. Also, with some older ones, I'll buy them just because they're hard to find, even if they're bad. Independents don't get that luxury. They're oversaturated to begin with, so if they're bad they just get to sit in the catalog unpurchased til the end of time.

EDIT: Thought I'd throw in a photo~
Magic

This was actually her when she was a baby, she's around 3 now. Not quite as scruffy as she was back then, but I still think it's a cute shot, and it shows off her lack of tail~
That is a fine looking bird! I love corvids, for some reason. The whole family. Fairly sure it's got something to do with the association they bear in so much medieval art, fantasy literature, and black metal xD

Makes sense to me, some of mine are games I already own and just want a copy in my library here. I'm not intimidated by DosBox so I have many of the oldies running already, just easier to have a single installer for reinstalls.

Right. One of the big draws overall, I'm sure. It certainly is for me.
Signing off for the day. Have a good night/day everyone!
As always, it's been fun!

madth3: Erm, no. I meant the Prince of Persia one. (Because of being rare)

I have enough of the D&D to keep me entertained to 2016, though. :-)
:) Out of curiosity, which DnD games do you have?

Thank you again, and I certainly will be gifting it away should that need arise! I also second you on gog's expanding of their catalogue but mostly when it comes to games released sometime between 1995-2005. So many games from that period I'd love to replay and play for the first time. Does gog really need another cutesy anime-inspired furry fan's wet dream, or another puzzling platformer? Not in my estimation ;) I want to see more classic titles.

Why thankyou! I'll be sure to let her know you said so.
Aye, we actually have three in the house - two rooks and a jackdaw - rescued over the years from various injuries that make them impossible to re-release. I have to confess, before we had them I'd never have given any bird a second look or thought, but living with them certainly changes your perspective. Their personalities and quirks make them a joy to just sit and watch, and it's even made me take more notice of wild ones when I'm out and about.
I'm quite sure now that all the representation they get in art is well earned!

You ask me that in this thread?
:-)
Could be interesting!
