animalmother2105: Is the PoP bundle a regular one, meaning that it appears in other sales?
avatar
IAmSinistar: It's an infrequent bundle. I only recall encountering it twice, this being the second time, whereas the D&D bundle appears in pretty much every major sale.
Thanks, that is what I meant. Yeah, you can bet money that the D&D bundle appears in every major sale. :) The reason I ask is, that I recall seeing only it once in a different sale. I am tempted to buy it since I have all the games on my wishlist but I am also holding out for the "Fedora bundle" because I did not buy it in the Fall sale.

I don't know that the Fedora bundle will make an appearance in this sale. It's possible, but overall they've been different bundles this time (the D&D bundle notwithstanding). Still, assuming they do an "all bundles" day at the end again, you could wait and see before committing your wallet. :)

AgentBirdnest: I'm not kidding, every time I see it now, it makes me really uneasy.
I seriously need to get the hell outta here before I have a panic attack.
I have a screenshot of a forum page dating back to September, and it was there then, with a capital F, just as it is now.

I hope you feel better soon.

CarrionCrow: Sinistar will undoubtedly want a rematch with the timer, especially considering how much fun they had with it last time.
For some unfathomable reason, I seriously highly doubt it. ;-)

donsanderson: OK, one of the two I've been drooling over's coming up, someone get the duct tape!
I will not buy Age of Wonders 3.
I will not buy Age of Wonders 3.

Resistance is futile...

genkicolleen: Oh hey, I just remembered! CarrionCrow, you were waiting for the PoP games to go on flash, right? Now you have to try them and tell me/us your thoughts! :D
avatar
CarrionCrow: Working on getting them downloaded right now. At least I have a controller, trying to play Sands of Time with a keyboard was a pain. I'll let you know how they were once I'm able to run through all of them. =)
I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts about them. My only experience with the PoP games was the old one released for... SNES, I think? They look interesting, but I've never been sure they'd be something I'd enjoy. For whatever reason, my NES and SNES gaming consisted of "everything and anything I could lay my hands on," while my later-in-life gaming has been more limited in genre. I'm trying to start changing that up again. :)

Maybe because Sinistar doesn't put out the vibe of being completely out of their gourd, let alone being so much so that they'd feel some horrible desire to foam at the mouth?

Yeah, that is also what I think: the probability of the Fedora to appear is smaller since it was on sale not that much time ago. But thanks for reminding me about the end of the sale. I will see if it appears and if not I will buy the PoP bundle.

Well, odds are, I won't be able to get into them to any great degree before they go off sale. Also, honestly? Lack of sleep is kind of screwing with fine motor control. So I'd probably die a LOT.
Strange question - what sort of a budget do people put aside for these kind of sales?
avatar
donsanderson: I could possibly afford this OR Divinity: Original Sin, and it's a darn hard choice. :/
Ohh, go for Divinity: Original Sin, then I can live vicariously through you ;)

Eh... whatever spare cash I find down the back of the couch?

You'll die a lot, lack of sleep or not. It's handy that the game has a rewind feature that can reduce frustration, but it's limited.

Brothers of the mine rejoice,
Swing, swing, swing with me.
Raise your pick and raise your voice,
Sing, sing, sing with me.
Down and down into the deep,
Who knows what we'll find beneath?
Diamonds, rubies, gold and more,
Hidden in the mountain store.

That is, without a doubt, one of the coolest things I've ever seen! Thank you.
Why do they do the 10 hour loop?

Why don't they do the 100 hour loop?
Fixed that for you.
