ddickinson: I prefer a Bolter and a Power Sword to smite the God-Emperors enemies! :-)
Bu... but the sisters of battle preferred tactic is to BURN EVERYTHING DOWN TO ASH!

So says the sacred codex.

Arinielle: Just watching playthroughs of those PoP games since I'm not going to get them. The hubby isn't interested in the bundles today either.

...already, the Warrior Within one is making me facepalm. First one was pretty good though a bit too repetitive I think.

Ixamyakxim: I HATED WW. After loving the first one (well, Sands of Time ;)) I was all excited to continue my adventures in Persia with WW. I spent about 10 minutes with that garbage. Couldn't stand the "revamped" combat, the first battle you fight is just awful and the whole EXXXTREEEEME motif and atmosphere sucked.

I'm a huge fan of the lovely, simply fluid combat of SoT. I've always thought the Batman Arkham games were wonderful spiritual successors to it.
That's the only way I can think to put it nicely.. "Extreme" it is. ...in a bad way. Yeah..no. Sands of Time I watched ( skipped through tons of fight scenes but paid attention when important ). WW is just...no. Don't care for it. Now going through TT and not sure what to make of it...yet. Better in ways than WW already, though.

But I really don't think this series is something for me. Not because of difficulty. Some things just..irk me when it's just laid out so annoyingly. ..to put it nicely.

adaliabooks: XD

You guys are so awesome. I love following how you fight over who will gift something to who (or whom?)

+1s for everyone :)

HypersomniacLive: Forgot to say that you're very welcome to partake in the gifting wars, I'm sure you've already noticed that they're plenty of fun. ;-D
I would love to, but I am just an observer in the sales at the moment. I got myself Banished but I'm not really in a position to do much more then that. Maybe when the Spring Sale comes round I'll be in a better position to buy and gift games.

That's for the lower level Battle Sisters, I'm a mighty Celestian Battle Sister! :-)

Sounds like someone needs a page on the GOGwiki, no?

You and me both. Well, except for getting Banished. Possibly losing my meager employment soon does not fill me with joy, and is in fact one of several reasons I barely slept a wink last night. Sorry to derail this thread though.

Something something axes, beards, ale, gold, mountains, mithril, killing orcs, something something. There we go, back on my usual track.

Was going to be my next comment to him. :-)

All this fighting between ddickinson and moonshineshadow made me hungry - I guess I have to go and hunt something; which reminds me, where's Stilton?

Lol.

While gifts are always appreciated I've already got loads to play (largely thanks to the generosity of the GoG giveaway community) I don't I could accept random gifts without feeling bad for not being able to give back, or pass the kindness on.

It was really weird, no pee breaks or anything. I kinda feel like I'm in a 'fog' today though. ;)

He may be in hiding, I think the +1 thing may have embarrassed him a bit. ;)

Sorry to hear that Ragnar, I know they have been talking about cutting hours and such. When will you know if you keep your job? It's strange how so many companies seem to do this over the Christmas season, I know several people who lost their job during December. I hope everything will be okay.

moonshineshadow: But you are the famous hiding wishlist member so I would never be able to return the favor :P
You just have to be patient.

FoxySage: This will probably sound like blasphemy to any hardcore Sonic fan but i have never played those games. Freedom Planet however reminds me a bit of when i played Jazz Jackrabbit on the Amiga back in the old days. Loved that game. It is probably my favourite platform game.

*Ducks to avoid the anger of Sonic fans everywhere*
Well, if you've never played Sonic, then you couldn't make the comparison. It's like not having read Lovecraft and thus saying "This Cthulhu stuff really reminds me of Clive Barker." :)

But it is very much directly descended from Sonic, with many sly nods and references back to its illustrious ancestor.
