moonshineshadow: so you also made the coffee picture yourself? That makes it even more awesome. I saved it on my pc since I liked it a lot.
Hoo....I'm honoured you like it that much... thanks !! :D

Wow, I go away to tend to nature and when I come back there's a plan afoot - and an extremely nice one at that! (It is me you're referring to, isn't it?)

Have an almighty +1 in return, and a handshake from Frome to Cedar Rapids ;-)

Just hit 15 pages worth. Held off on doing them all in case there's a per day rep increase maximum. =)

LynetteC: She's also a great challenge to sing, but I like a challenge. :-)

I've also learned this. I made my own "backing track" by looping the male parts to get a Maddy Prior-less chorus to sing over and then left a carefully timed silence for the verses. Remembering the words is going to be interesting to say the least. I have enough problems with English! lol
Thanks for sharing that, really atmospheric. And keeping fingers crossed for your performance! 乂(-_^)

And that's such a cute Santa kitty. :-)

LaPtiteBete: Thanks everybody for your kind words :") wow... I feel happy, really.
It's just from... well. It has nothing to do with video games.
I used to have a comic blog where I posted my little drawings... telling my life ; I was an owl, my boyfriend was a wombat :) all of our friends have their animal. I wish I had more time to draw again... I miss it. Making this avatar was a breath of fresh air :))

I bow before your talent!

Sleep well, we'll still be here tomorrow.:-)

innocuous77: You're right - I don't even think about that here. Corrected...
Rep means basically nothing BUT, if it's a direct result of the "Winter Tracking Clan's" doing????

One other thing before you go - don't sell yourself short. You said you weren't sure if your boyfriend thinks as well of you as when you met (paraphrasing here, but you get my point, I'm sure). You have positive qualities and on some level you're shitting on or minimizing them.
Don't do that.

innocuous77: Back in the day (gods I'm old), boyfriend and I used to have 'lost weekends.' We'd free up our weekend (and this was during grad school - no easy feat) when we'd put our hulky desktops in the same room and serial port them together to play Baldur's Gate.

Now, I wouldn't suggest that for someone who doesn't like long-form RPGs. But Torchlight works well for that. The Dreamfall games also work, but not multi-player (he and I switched off playing scenes).

Never forget... the family that games together, stays together:)
avatar
Arinielle: Yeah...that's the problem. He doesn't like any of those. He likes micro-managing and tactic-type games while I like ones with lots of story and a world I can happily get lost in and do pretty much nothing and yet feel like I've accomplished so much because I like to wander around a lot.

We have our computers in the same room but at opposite ends of it. Own tables and all. So we 'can' play games together if we want to. He wants to get a console but I'm not too interested in Xbox 360 and Xbox One...and he isn't interested in Nintendo ( and has one request of not having a PS unless it's from say... second-hand stores or something. He wants no money going to Sony if at all possible ).
I get it - just remember that my story was in the days before home routers:) Hell - I'm talking 'modem days'...:)

So you have different tastes in games - no big deal. One will come along that interests both of you. In the mean time, just enjoy the fact that you share a hobby. You love the same thing, just in different colors.

LynetteC: I wonder if I'll ever perform anywhere near you - sounds like you might enjoy quite a bit of my set. :-)

Stilton: I'm down in Somerset - if you ever head that way let me know. I can sit there with a handkerchief and cry all night ;-)
You're quite a way away from me up here in East Yorkshire but you never know, I may end up down there one day. Or once I get some videos done you can cry in the privacy of your own home.

And a public thank you for the surprise in my inbox - +1 for you. :-)

Did my part on the last three pages. Sadly it won't show immediately, as there's a point limit assigned to one per day (don't know exactly what that is), and IIRC, the second star appears at 150.

So peeps, keep clicking that little green button until we're there! ;-D

The last hour+ here has been like one of those rare parties you go to where EVERYONE is happy and chatting until their jaws ache. People are making connections all over! The guys are in the kitchen talking sports and armpit farts, the girls are in groups looking wonderful and talking about everything the guys don't understand. And they're all enjoying themselves and knowing they're in the right place at the right time with the right people. Oh, to save this moment in time and put it in crystal. I'm embarrassing myself now - someone give me another drink...

I think +5 is the maximum for a day.

May I use this thread to rant about the game I'm playing at the moment?

It's Might and Magic II and as much as I love it (I already invested more than 100 hours I think), there's some stuff in it that's so completely idiotic that it's hard to believe. Stole some gold from a guy in a cavern (there was an inscription that warned me I would suffer if I do so). Checked my characters and everything seemed fine. Went back to a town, rested and after the rest every single stat of every single character was set down to five (stats were between 50 and 75 before). And it's not temporarily, it's fucking PERMANENTLY!!! I mean WTF, I did ONE stupid action and the game punishes me with a party that is WEAKER THAN AT THE BEGINNING???

Worst thing is that I saved, because the stats seemed fine and as the game has just one save slot, there's no way to restore my stats. No way except visiting every single cave with stats increasements again.

I swear, if I ever meet Jon van Caneghem, I will kick him in his balls!!!

*rant over*

Sorry for abusing this thread...

Have you tried Sacred? The character builds can get pretty complex if you want to invest that kind of time (I don't) but whilst the story line itself is pretty linear you can go anywhere you want and pick up sidequests as you go along. It also has LAN multiplayer.
