Arinielle: Yep. The hubby broke down and told me to grab that Heroes of Might and Magic bundle. :P So that brings me to what... 52 titles in my library now?

He wants to use my account on his computer and I won't let him. -_o He's gonna have to download 'em through me and MY computer. He didn't want to make an account here to put the games he wanted in his own library...so he has to deal with MY rules...and that is to leave my account alone and let ME handle it. I don't let ANYONE use my accounts. ANYWHERE.

innocuous77: Great advice for anyone, regardless of how much you trust them. I've seen too many friends get absolutely screwed by having a joint credit card and a marriage going South.
avatar
CarrionCrow: I'm just as scared because I won't buy a game I don't finish. I'm not spending this much time and money on things that will just sit there. Even something as godsawful as the one you're referring to.
Just going to need a LOT of alcohol to get through it.
avatar
innocuous77: Come sit by me... I seem to have a lot of those games on my shelf...
Unfortunately, I don't have my own bank card for reasons I mentioned several pages back in this thread. >.< So what money I do get is mixed with his but we keep count as to how much we spend on things and how much we have for luxury spending. Soon as some things work out papers-wise and stuff here, I'll have my own account so we won't have to worry about this so much.

I've always hated sharing accounts with anyone and everyone ( especially those I put a lot of trust in ). I'm kindof controlling so would rather just be stuck with my own stuff to handle so I don't drive anyone up the walls with my controlling behavior. Not sure why....it goes with anyone picking up one of my books or games or even a shirt or something. I get really annoyed and worried over it..always have.

LynetteC: She's also a great challenge to sing, but I like a challenge. :-)

I've also learned this. I made my own "backing track" by looping the male parts to get a Maddy Prior-less chorus to sing over and then left a carefully timed silence for the verses. Remembering the words is going to be interesting to say the least. I have enough problems with English! lol
avatar
Stilton: That's also great. Even better because these are songs from my childhood ;-)
I took my mum to see Steeleye Span in October and they're amazing musicians. Maddy still has the voice of an angel too. :-)

LaPtiteBete: Yes, that's true... I fixed it !! :D
Is it better now ?
Huge THANKS anyone for your kinds comments ! :-*

FoxySage: I'm curious, where is your avatar from?
Thanks everybody for your kind words :") wow... I feel happy, really.
It's just from... well. It has nothing to do with video games.
I used to have a comic blog where I posted my little drawings... telling my life ; I was an owl, my boyfriend was a wombat :) all of our friends have their animal. I wish I had more time to draw again... I miss it. Making this avatar was a breath of fresh air :))

When you connect with songs you grew up with, even decades later, its incredible how they can take you right back to a time, a place and a feeling. We've all experienced this, of course, but it never ceases to amaze me the power that ingrained mechanism has. Sometimes it can even surprise with its emotional intensity. The only other things I've found can do it (aside from photographs and home movies) are films and favourite TV programmes, but they don't have quite the same emotional precision or impact.

That's the way to do it, honestly. When I was 'married' for 15 years (ok, we lived together, so no lawyers were involved at the end), we had the joint household account and individual accounts. His pay went into his individual account and mine went into mine. When bills were due, we plopped $ into the household account and paid them out of that. It took a bit of coordination, but if a relationship can't withstand money discussions, then why bother. We never once argued about money. (and yes, we argued about a LOT of other stuff, but not how the $ went).

Sorry - too much reality...I'm sorry.

That's how we have it planned out, actually. We have his account ( and soon have mine as well ) and a household account for all things like bills and money for groceries and medicines and such.

Tis okies. ^^

Oh, original drawing. *blush* sorry about the mistake.

The style made it looks a bit similar to a comic i read as kid. Thought it might be an obscure Ducksburg character or something. Still really great. I find it really adorable. <3

You mean there's more to life than hanging around and buying video games?
What is this madness you speak of? -laughs-

You're very talented. I wish I could draw but it loses something in translation from my head to the paper.:-) My daughter on the other hand is an amazing artist. I'm not sure where she gets it from as my husband is as ham-fisted as I am with a pencil or paintbrush!

You should definitely do more drawing. It's a shame not to use a talent like yours. :-)

As an old person - make the time to do the things you love. Even if it's just 15 minutes. You'd be surprised how easy it is to find 15 minutes in a day.

And I totally want a new avatar out of this:) Something cat-related? With less pox...

LaPtite is responsible for my snow-clicky avatar, too. I'm certainly pleased the little owl fluttered down to join us :-)

donsanderson: 85's don't bother me much, it's the 99's that drive me up a wall. I just KNOW I could have done just that tiny bit better and been perfect. :-)

innocuous77: and I call myself a student of history... I haven't scored a B on an exam since 1987.

BTW - your statement that 'I'm a pacifist, not a doormat'? Consider it stolen. Absolutely brilliant.
Feel free, I'm honored that you like it.:)
