Who had guessed flight sims? :D That was correct^^

Stilton: Back in the eighties I did a New York/Toronto/Chicago round trip vising family and friends, and Amtrakking from Toronto down to Chicago went through a place (can't recall exactly where) that was like a huge train yard. I couldn't believe how huge some of the freights were there. Some were about a year and a half long and I gave up counting trucks after about 20,000. I love your country - you can grab it in great armfuls and almost eat it.
avatar
donsanderson: I lived in Chicago for 4 years and there was a freight yard called the 'turnstyle', acres and acres of it. Cedar Rapids where I live now is only about 4 hours from there. This is very flat country around here and it makes trains a very practical form of transport.
My family (second cousins) were in Northbrook but moved north a tad to Lake Forest. Close to Ray Bradbury country, if you've ever been into him. Really nice place. Difficult to believe Lake Michigan wasn't an ocean. Flat there, too, I recall. I loved the place and didn't want to leave.

Treasure: There's a "guess the bundle" game, I see. :-) Well, it occured to me this morning (not sure whether I dreamt of it or just thought of it shortly after I woke up-especially as there have indeed been times when I dreamt I was buying games from GOG sales-weird dreams! :P ) that a nice bundle could be a Flight Sim bundle -including such games as Red Baron, HIND, IL-2 Sturmovik (and other flight sims I may not know of anyways) or even Wings(Amiga Version)! It would be interesting to see such a bundle actually show up... :-)
OMG! I was right in my prediction!!!! :-D
For anyone into flight sims that is an incredible deal! ;)

Northbrook is where I worked, Lake Forest is beautiful but way out of my range money wise. And I was very well paid at the time. Were you there in winter? That can be pretty rough around the lake.

Hello everyone!
I got a few minutes before lunch time and then more work.

I did a quick catch up on the thread so I ask:
Should I be worried about the viking army? Do I have to raise a palisade?
Last time The Banner Saga appeared was three days ago, wasn't it? Does that mean it will be on flash sale no more?
Heroes of Might and Magic bundle...oooooh! Called the hubby up at work during his break. :P So he'll be getting that tonight...was waiting for it to show up.

Looks like a Blackwell bundle will be in the flash sales in a few minutes. o.O I think someone was looking at one of the games in the flash sale yesterday?

Okay, NOW I can get some sleep.

No, but a gasmask might be in order. ;)

Hey, pleasant coincidence. It was late October, so chilly and windy. Perfect for me. That was 1986. My cousins were/are hard workers and fortunate enough that it paid off. The Northbrook house was nice, but the Lake Forest one was special.
For the first time during this sale it's more down to what I can afford rather than what I want. Great front page at the moment! ;)

Edit: And I just now saw warriors of the north! Decisions, decisions.
