wtf? **another** sale. so soon. ;)

are we going to have a sale "winter"? first gog's november sale, then steam's black friday - cyber monday sale, now gog winter sale & really soon steam's winter sale... i mean thats almost two full months of sale frenzy....

which is awesome from a consumer perspective, but with all the spring & summer sales i simply stopped buying games out of sale time. i mean wasteland 2 is still brand-new and it's 33% off already? :)

a) either gamers overall now buy many more games (= keep spending the same amount of money on games)
b) games will remain at higher off sale prices longer
c) developers earn less money
d) or overall game quality will sink...

i am truly hoping for a) (which in my case is utterly true)

We all have the entire catalog at our disposal so gifting any of the staff would be rather like gilding the lilly :)

I think probably pointless but it should be 'doable'.

I think games do sell the most around this time. The timing of it is simply so it's not running concurrently with the Steam winter sale (which I would imagine drive a large portion of sales this time of year).

Oo, Quest For Infamy coming up as a Flash, and it already has a base reduction of 50%. Should have a meaty discount, time to get it off the wishlist.

All right, putting out a bit of a notice to whom it may concern -

You don't have to send me stuff. It's okay. I'm doing the tracker thread because I want to. I'm doing it because without cool people to talk with, I'd just be sitting here like a weirdo talking to myself in between flipping the timer off.
You're already helping me out and making the experience a hell of a lot better, and I thank you for that. That's more than enough. =)
