Urgh... I think I need to start playing one of my games to distract me from the sale since I do not want to get grumpy again about it...
So the question is... adventure or strategy game :D

JudasIscariot: Well, we did put up a new installer for the DLC as there was an update to that portion of the game. If you have the DLC, try re-downloading the installer if you haven't already done so :)
Yep, already downloaded, but ate a big meal and fell asleep early last night. No Insomnia here. ;)

I've just completed Shadowrun Returns and I absolutely loved it:

+ Great setting and atmosphere.
+ Interesting characters and story (I did prefer the early part of the story, but I think the latter part was down to the developers trying to include more of the Shadowrun lore).
+ Really enjoyed the turn-based combat - not over difficult, but I never got bored of it and the classes and skills are fun to play around with.
+ Loved the music.

- Very linear story.
- Relatively short (I completed it in just under 15 hours).

Summary: Short but very sweet!

Dragonfall is widely recognized to be even better, but at the price Shadowrun Returns is, I'd recommend it to anyone.

And we have our first "Dang, I just missed game X" post of the sale! Let the confetti drop and the balloons soar! :D

Speaking of, actually running Dragonfall as we speak. Beats the crap out of saying increasingly vulgar things about the flash timer.....

Only by a few minutes, too, but I'm not worried, it should be back and I always spend waaaayyyy too much time on the site during sales! I'm just glad they're having another sale as I'm out of point-and-clicks at the moment.

All right, a serious question (since my dreams of seeing your undoubtedly breathtaking combination of song and dance now lie dashed against the cold, unforgiving rocks of reality), is it possible to gift a staff member of GOG something, or is it entirely pointless given your preexisting access to the catalog?
