Sigh. There is one person that I know of that doesn't like the GOG sales.

Me: "Honey... i... not sure how to say it... i'll be away for a while again..."

Wife: "Why?"

Me: "GOG"

IAmSinistar: I consider it one of the most frustrating games, not necessarily one of the most difficult. I just hated how I would lose progress over and over, along with the accumulated soul points. It just seemed tailor-made to create despair in the gamer. Which is a shame, because it was a compelling game otherwise.

IAmSinistar: Escape Goat is that. But at the same time it feels more fair than other games of its ilk, and I felt a sense of joy and accomplishment in completing it. Other games, like Mr. Bree+, just left me feeling hollow by the end.
I'm waiting for it to be free of its GFWL garbage before diving in headfirst.
But I get what you mean. There's miserable but fair, and then there's miserable, reveling in it and actively trying to break your desire to play it at all.
I've seen a number of people say Hotline Miami is extremely difficult, for example, but it's at least fair in its difficulty. Screw up, time something wrong, and you have to start over. Get the jump on the enemy and you can wipe them out en masse. It's even.

Treasure: A small question: Hatoful Boyfriend is a flash deal at $2.99 (70%off). But then, this is a 70% off from $9.99 -which is a normal-flat price. And this while the game is supposed to be regionally priced. And not only that but no regional credit is offered on checkout. So, what's the deal with Hatoful Boyfriend? Has the regional pricing been temporarily removed while the flash deal or is this a glitch of some kind?
Just want to know that to determine how much I'll get to pay-$2.99 or something else.

Grargar: Thanks to the Local Prices Update, Hatoful Boyfriend's European price is no longer higher than the American one.
Oh, I didn't know that -I didn't really watch closely the latest price update. Great, I'll buy it then! Thanks a lot for your quick and helpful reply Grargar! :-)

No glitch, it's been a while that it doesn't show as regionally priced, at least not in the EU region - either the devs/ pubs decided that the $0.50 difference wasn't worth it or the difference was eaten up by the currency exchange rate.

Ixamyakxim: Then it's a terrible review. While originally the game DID have checkpoints, Save Anywhere was later patched in (and is included in both GoG versions - Base and Dragonfall).
The game always had loot and inventory.
That's good to know and.. the review is here on GOG on page2, so it should be nuked then lol

IAmSinistar: Hail, cheesy champion! Yes, GOG has pulled a fast one on us with this incredibly different sale. I can't remember the last time I saw a sale like this, though this may have something to do with my recreational ballpeen hammer usage.

Uhm, could be but i seriously don't remember the checkpoints situation, i kind of remember a checkpoint at the beggining of each level, perhaps the complains are related to not having more during the mission...
As for the loot/inventory, you don't get loot for killing enemies, you get cash and some items from missions and bonus objectives, then you can use that money to buy new stuff (mostly at base). Actually, i don't remember playing srpg's where you get loot from killing the enemies...
