Stilton: Indigestion?
avatar
HypersomniacLive: No, a very real earthquake, that shook my flat.

avatar
donsanderson: Stop shakin' yet?
avatar
HypersomniacLive: Yep, didn't last long.

avatar
donsanderson: No strings, they have a client but it's optional.
avatar
HypersomniacLive: That's not entirely accurate though. They do carry games that are Steam keys, and then some that don't come with a standalone DRM-free installer and require their client, and some that require a one-time online activation.
Thanks for clarifying, I've seen Steam keys and should probably have mentioned them, never run into the others though.

Careful with that earthquake... Have you had one before? That sounds scary. Apparently we have them here, too, but they're so small no one ever notices.

And I'll be sure to check Desura's small print before committing to a purchase :-)

Any more shakes there?

Be very careful when you see the "DRM-Free" icon. It's not always correct as you can see in the comments.

Nope, just that one. Yep, earthquakes are quite common here. It wasn't a big one, but had a shallow focal depth, hence the shaking

I like how they casually brushed the issues off
Glad you had you problem solved.

Good news that you're not up to your waist in rubble and trying to get plaster dust out of your router. That could ruin a Sunday night :-)

Good thing I didn't have to crawl under the desk in the company of plugs and cables, or worse leave the flat and spend a few hours on the streets. I always feel earthquakes more as my flat is on the top floor.

I think I need something sweet now to forget all about it. ;-D

Pie!
I knew we would get back to pies!

I've chocolate biscuits here and cold milk, which you're very welcome to share...

Pies are one of life's constants - wherever anything important happens, you can bet that not far away there's a pie. Its as though they have an intelligence of their own that far outweights that of cakes and biscuits. Its eerie, really.

Think of the term 'Pie in the sky.' They could be orbiting the earth right now, apparently innocent but plotting our future. It doesn't bear thinking about.

Sadly, I don't have any kind of pie at home.

That's very kind of you, thank you very much - would you think of me as very rude if I passed though? I'm not particularly fond of chocolate or milk.

I think I'll have a couple of these. ;-D

Shortbread cookies! Or ginger cookies - even better, especially when they're chewy and not crunchy. ;D

I see 50 recipes for 'chocolate biscuits', most I would call 'cookies', what are yours like?
So did we get anything new to the flash sales in the past 5 hours?

*they should reconsider changing the thread title to - GOG Social Club* ;)

I'm guessing as Stilton is in the UK he's referring to something like these*.
