Stilton: Haust (harvest).

Well, 'tis the season and all that ;-)
avatar
CarrionCrow: Oh, indeed. It IS the season for blindside gifting....>=)
Touche, Monsieur Pussy Cat! (that's a Tom and Jerry quote, by the way...)

MONUMENTAL thanks, and humbly recieved ;-)

Are you sure you don't like Christmas? :-)
avatar
HypersomniacLive: Probably not, even Sinistar calls it Autumn, and he's from the US.
I was just curious why a European company, based in Poland, with an international customer base, would use an American term instead of its actual name, Autumn. I guess they must have more customers in the U.S. (or the U.S. spends the most) and are catering for their largest customer base.

Can't frigging stand it. =) Having fun with good people is what I'm enjoying. =)

There's some tricky subtext here...

Nope, I was just curious, no subtext or anything like that, just passing some time asking irrelevant questions.

Maybe someone here (everyone?) will be Jacob Marley to your Ebeneezer Scrooge...

Stranger things might happen (like Vikings in pastry coffins, for instance) ;-)

I'm not prodding, by the way, just playing - nothing worse than someone pushing their ideals onto someone else (thinks Jehovah and shudders)

GOG stated in May 2013 during some event, that around 50% of their customer base comes from the US, I guess that's still the case.

Grargar: Yes, but the vast majority has been gifts. The only game that I have bought for me (so far), is Unreal Tournament 2004 and that's only because it allowed me to get a giftcode of Blood with 80% discount.
Now everyone with that game on their wishlist will wonder if you're their Secret Santa.

Things work just fine as they are. =) I'm enjoying sending things to people and having conversations, and would enjoy it just as much in February, May or August. I can tell the holidays to piss off with a smile while I spit on all of them, and still have a good time. =)

Thank you for the answer. I was not asking out of any particular reason, just curious. I remember reading that some schools in the U.S. are noticing that more and more people are calling it Autumn now. Some blame it on the amount of British T.V. shows show in the U.S.
Eleven minutes.... *stares at timers*

Want to see what the next bundles are! >.< I swear, the hubby has made out like a bandit so far this week...
I forgot about chicken pot pie! My Mom makes an outstanding one from scratch that puts all other foods to shame.

By the way, hi everyone!
I just woke up, but will probably go back to sleep in a few minutes (had to take some nausea medicine, and it knocks me out.)
I'll see what the new GOG day brings, but then I'll be out for a couple hours.

I've been very pleased with the amount of FPS games in this sale. The Fall sale was seriously lacking in that department.

How have I managed to miss your wishlist? Check your incoming. :-)

A quick good morning then, and apologies that you're not feeling well. Hope that straightens out so you can get some peace, at least for a little bit.
Woke up looked at the screen and almost bought Gemini just because it was almost out of time. The insomnia force runs strong in me ObiWan. ;)
Morning all.
