IAmSinistar: Okay, taking a look at the games I don't own which are also on sale, but which aren't slated to be a Flash Deal nor likely to be in a Daily Deal. If anyone wants to help convince me to get or avoid any of these titles, please do.

Ground Control + Expansion
Ground Control 2: Operation Exodus SE
Rayman 2: The Great Escape
Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc
Subwar 2050 Complete
Waxworks

Thanks as always!
I'm a fan of Subwar 2050. It's like Wing Commander underwater.

Ground control are excellent games! I've only played the first one, have an old expansion-less copy still around, but I've heard the second one is just as good. After Myth, they are the grand-daddies of real-time tactics. If you've enjoyed stuff like World in Conflict, Nexus, Company of Heroes, even Dawn of War or Total War (somewhat larger in scale), then you'll love these! Story/setting-wise they're reminiscent of C&C, so that's not too bad, either ;)

Great info, thanks to you both! I think you've sold me on the GC titles Spins, as I really like the old Myth games. Still hoping those make it to GOG one day as well.

Cheers!

Anyone a fan of "Sir, You are Being Hunted?" I see a lot of reviews saying it's a cool idea, but the gameplay is too repetitive and easy.

I think it's 'UFO' with some extra squiggles. http://www.gog.com/game/ufo_aftershock
True, great thread indeed. Last time (Spring Insomnia), I did not notice the sale, till almost the end and I managed to miss both "Lone Survivor" and "Arcanum".

This time I already got "Beyond Good & Evil", "System Shock 2", "Total Annihilation" and "Sanitarium" for just 7$. Other than that, I have avoided stuff which is not high up on my list. "Stacking" and "Oddworld" would have been interesting and there were a few other titles, but I have become somewhat of a greedy bitch, since discovering how often prices go down to ridicoulously low levels on gog, and to a degree on Steam. ;-)

How about you? Good sale so far?

How is the UFO series without comparing it to XCOM?

justanoldgamer: How is the UFO series without comparing it to XCOM?
Which one?
UFO:AM had basic base building, but decent to good RTwP tactical gameplay.
UFO:AS had much better base building, and good to excellent RTwP tactical gameplay.
UFO:AL I no longer recall how it is, but it does improve on UFO:AS compared to many.

Be also sure to check StrategyCore.co.uk for mods to those games.

Thank you. UFO:AM is not in the flash game rotation, is it?

It does not seem to be. It is still a good price for it though.
