Niggles: The prices during the insomnia sale for some games was a bit better?
avatar
foxworks: Probably due to the limited quantities ;-)
Im actually wondering if Xmas sale prices are usually the best compared to GOG sales for the rest of the year.....

Rise Of The Triad was cheaper.

I'm sure someone has a spreadsheet for this :)

budejovice: I started out keeping key data for each game on index cards. The cards were color coded by genre. It was pretty sweet. But I ran out of steam around 150 games on my shelf. Need to get a spreadsheet up and running. :)

IAmSinistar: My spreadsheet includes game, vendor, original bundle the key came from if applicable, other vendor I also own the game from, whether I have the soundtrack, any associated serial number, and the URL if it was a direct-download purchase rather than through a storefront.

The games are also coloured-coded as to whether I have played/am playing them, have finished them, have played them before but not yet in this digital format, or if they are ones I should prioritise getting to.

I know it sounds like a lot, but it only takes a few seconds to add a new game or update a status, so it's a really help for very little effort.
I tried the spreadsheet thing for all of mind similar to yours lol.its a lot of work initially....and if u dont keep it up to date like i have lol
I've been watching since around 1 p.m. u.s. eastern time. anyone know if vampire the masquerade went up? I've been wanting this game for a long time.Thinking of just buying it at its current sale price to finally satisfy my urge to own, and have my way with it.
Hi people!

I see we are in the throes of yet another dose of GOGular madness. Nothing wrong with that!

There seems to be a less frenzied approach this time, but with over seven hundred games heading our way our stamina is going to be tested to the full. Do GOG spend their spare time thinking up different ways to torture us? And amazingly we pay them for it. I love 'em! Imagine how they'd run a country, or even the world! (maybe that's their ultimate goal...)

Its EXCELLENT seeing so many Insomnia veterans here - how are you all, hope you're enjoying your games!

I'm cozy now, with a cup of tea, my feet up and my eyes fixed on the screen.

Bring it on GOG, do your worst...

(Ignore the bravado - its just past midnight here and I might be asleep in an hour :D)

Melhelix: As someone who loves playing the villain, Overlord is exceptionally fun, and at times rather hilarious. You control a horde of minions who do your every bidding, and this is probably the one sticking point. The control for minions can be rather difficult to grasp, and may take a bit of trial and error. Sometimes, despite how you move your mouse your horde seems content on say... drowning to death. Still, I had a lot of fun with it. You can choose how evil you wish to be (slight RPG choices, does make a difference on appearance and on the epilogue), you can decorate your evil tower, and in general cut a bloody swath against any who stand in your way. Plus the expansion is also good (I did find the expansion more of a challenge than the main campaign, but still completely doable).
thanks for the input, I just bought it.
SInistar demands Hammerwatch ;-)

IAmSinistar: I hope Master of Orion 3 is $0.99, because that's about the only way I'll buy it. Just to be completist about it.
I guess you'll avoid tainting your shelf with it now. :D
MOO 3 @ 2.49... who will bite? ;)

Damn straight I do! Seriously sweet Gauntlet action. Buy it you bastards or know my wrath!

Meanwhile, Master of Orion 3, you are...ignored.
