Not again! I just went away from my computer for 3 hours how did it manage to allude me?
last time I saw it under toned as it would appear sometime later so I figured I had enough time and be back before it's over, only to realize it was long gone by the time I was back... and to think It's not even the first promo I try to grab it. Oh well, better hope each game gets to show 10 times.
Penumbra Collection is once again floating in the "coming soon" section and should be available within about 15 minutes for a 2 hour window of opportunity. Hopefully you manage to catch it this time. :)

I wasn't supposed to, As I had to be somewhere else starting from an hour ago, and it would last 4.5 hours... and would have missed it for sure (and I figured It must come during that time, just for kicks).
But I procrastinated too much for me to go there, and I doubt I'll get to even the last couple of hours after I get to buy Penumbra. so this time it's not that fun to know I managed to grab it (when if all went well, I wouldn't :| )

So, there aren't many flash deals that I am still waiting on (thank goodness). One of the games I am curious about is Ether One: Deluxe Edition. It's a bit pricier than most of the games I've picked up during this sale (heck, even pricier than some of the bundles), so I am curious what people think of the game vs the price.

Obviously, it's a generous discount off of its regular $30 price tag, but "cost" and "worth" are two different things. It looks gorgeous and very Myst-esque, but I've read online that it is also very short (around 3-4 hours). So, is the $7.50 worth my curiosity, or should I just be glad with the mountain of games I have already and give this another shot somewhere down the road when it might be cheaper?

Ixamyakxim: Knock, Knock and Aftershock - I had a chance to grab them on one transaction, passed, decided the next day what the heck... and since then nothing! And I know I haven't missed them (I might have missed UFO once) - so now I guess I'll wait for the last day Flash sale... please? Please GoG do it again??? (the "big" one where they rotated a TON of games in and out)

Hey thanks for the heads up post - I swear GoG is having a laugh at my expense - I DID grab it this morning, but after waiting almost a WEEK without so much as a hint... I've now seen it TWICE in the last 6 hours or so! GoG Flash-random-og-in-izer-program-guru guy you must be leaning back in your chair laughing ;)

nuketakuler: Has anyone else noticed that they just doubled the price of all their games in the last year or 2, and these sales are covering up the slow transitions as 2 dollar games are now considered 10 dollar games. Then u get an 80 percent off blowout but noone realized thats about what the game originally went for 2 years ago?

In fact there are still lots of games at $5.99 and even $4.99 but there are several pricier ones.

Once the summer sale is over we should be able to get clearer numbers on this.
Interesting... Here is a quick analysis for strategy+rpg (116 of 272 gams in your list):
- 1 at $4
- 2 at $5
- 38 at $6 (6 newer than 10 years old)
- 1 at $7
- 1 at $8
- 39 at $10 (7 older than 10 years)
- 1 at $12 (Avernum 2000)
- 12 at $15 (GRID 2008, JadeEmpire 2005, BrutalLegend 2009)
- 13 at $20 (TwoWorlds 2010, KB:Crossworlds 2009, NeverwinteNights2 2006, Risen2 2012, SimCity4 2003)
- 1 at $21
- 3 at $25
- 2 at $40
- 1 at $45
Note, that the games i mentioned are the only ones for more than $10 that were made before 2013/2014
Note that games a $4/5/7/8 tiers are not good old games :)

my2cents: given that SimCity & NeverwinterNights are still unsurpassed i get the $20 sticker, however it's just too much. At least NN in the D&D box for 90% off has been in almost every sale :)

I assume those are original non sale prices. Just taking the four biggest entries shows a clear picture of the new averages, I think.
