Wait so the 4 freebies of the rush sale were Omerta, Still Life 2, Torchlight and Alan Wake? Good. I didn't miss anything I really wanted. I would've been interested in taking a look at Omerta, but didn't want Still Life 2(got it anyway because I was going to check what kind of game it was), I already had Torchlight so I got a gift code and I have no interest in Alan Wake whatsoever.

Well, this is going to be a very long day! I am currently at the Doctors office wishing I was anywhere but here. The onoy good thing is that I did manage to get all of the freebies without staying up all night. Lol It is going to be a raint day here, been threatening since last night. I can smell it in the air. Love that smell. At least I have tons of new games to play today! ;-) Not to bad considering I am on a phone where the "keys" are three to a finger point.

If the steemed competition is who I think it is (a certain place with DRM where you have to be logged on to start a game) that doesn't make you "bad" but it makes you a risk taker. If you lose your account for whatever reason (a couple of examples: your account is hacked and the DRM company decides to close it, or the DRM company takes a risky bet on a new OS platform and they go out of business) then all that you have purchased is gone, poof, not even a white cloud of water vapor remains... Take a look at your account there and think how would you feel if all of a sudden everything is gone tomorrow and you get nothing in exchange.

Do make sure you enjoy quickly anything that is DRM'd because you don't know how long it'll last. For "I'm not sure when I'll have time to play" and "collecting" you want something that is DRM-free.

Picking an example of something that is available here and was recently heavily discounted at a competitor - Syberia 1+2 for 1.49 may have looked good but, considering the DRM, I'd say GOG offers a better "deal" even if it costs more $$$

Depends on who you are or want to be. Some just won't "rent" games, i for one do so if its way (>40%) cheaper... at least on steam, which by far non DRM-free shop around.
Isn't Spain an € country? Haven't seen a lot of games for around €2.20 (= $2.99), although i missed Awesomenauts 90% off. After this gog sale i find it hard to spend more than €3... in a few weeks i might be cured of gog's sale prices but not now. Son in my case gog can make a checkmark at "mission achieved" [of diverting my $ from steams summer sale] :)

All manner of folks here are DRM-free advocates, myself included. In fact, it can be argued, persuasively and successfully, that DRM-free is the wisest standpoint for the educated consumer.

Could go either way, whats the point of generating more page visits when everyone only picks the games that are on flash sale? This way gog made at least 30% more cash from me & i still feel like a teen at christmas!
