Thanks, same to you.
I wonder how one will be able to tell if the giveaways in the "recognize these 5 games" contests have all been claimed...I can see GOG receive submissions for hours after they've awarded all 10 prizes already. :)

It's pretty easy actually - this is "the fastest win" type of contest, and the first 10 eligible entries are usually submitted in the first 15-20 minutes or so. ;-)
I know, but I doubt that's going to stop the type of entrant who doesn't look at the timestamp of the contest post. ;)
There was a contest?

Three actually. ;-)

Where and how? It seems I've missed all of them :/

Ceht: I think the flash sales need to be shuffled better so people like me don't feel like they're in Groundhog Day as the same games keep popping up each time. 227 games over two weeks or more shouldn't leave me feeling like I'm mostly seeing the same 50 games over and over, ya know?
avatar
srilumpa: Well, bad news. With the 30 games at a time we have right now you'll see plenty of games more often today :)

At least we are starting to see the few remaining games that jMich had unearthed that were MIA until now (including the teased flash freebies) so that should make you happy :).
Who said I wasn't happy? I've gotten a few cheaper games, picked up a freebie (missed out on today's first two that came up while I was asleep), and saved some money. I was simply making a suggestion or two, which doesn't equate to me flipping tables and storming off with a "FUUUUUUUUUUUUU-" face.

Being hit on the head by the trunk door that unexpectedly didn't stay up drew some pissed off words from me, but not this sale.

Happier then.

They were flash video ones - guess 5 games presented in a very short YouTube video correctly and email the answers to GOG; if you were among the first 10 correct entries, you won a $9.99 gift code.

If you check GOG's YouTube channel, you will find the videos.

Pretty much.

I have 4 of the 5 games in the last one but the time necessary to find the remaining one (the third) would be enough to let others who know all 5 to be faster. And you only need 10 people out of 73.8k followers to be online and know the answer.

*shrugs*

Nice of GOG to do those though (I suppose they are the contests of gaming knowledge they were mentioning at the beginning of the sale).

I probably was in a meeting then, as I saw nothing on the first page. Or was this some "social media" event?
