Yeah, I looked in paint as well, I think I may be thinking of another program that I use on my desktop which does that, but I was sure that Paint did it as well, maybe it was the XP version! lol
Yeah, I've had something like that pop up a few times, usually when the site is super busy.

Yeah, I've had something like that pop up a few times, usually when the site is super busy.
GIMP is free and can do pretty much everything, but while I'm a whiz with computer graphics from a coding perspective, I'm a complete doofus in photo manipulation software. :)

My guess is that they provision extra servers online but they don't all get the right bits or something so one machine out of the set is stale, or perhaps pulled old data from a backup or something. I did give them the IP addresses that the data came from, but if that is load balanced and farmed to multiple machines behind a single set of IPs... well.. good luck with the haystack on that one. :)

I had Gimp when I was running a Linux desktop, but this one is for Windows. Damn if I can remember what it is called though. I'll figure it out later though.

Edit: XnView is what it is called and it is, more than anything else, an image viewer. Good program though.

Argh, that imagebin.ca site I used to upload my screenshot too now has corrupted the image so it wont load (for me at least). I guess if you want something to work you have to do it yourself. :) I'll have to set up something on a webserver under my own control that just does what I damn well tell it to do with no limitations, can't beat that. 57MB PNG images? Sure, no problem! :)

Here is a link to GIMP for Windows. The other popular OSS image apps probably exist for Windows too but I haven't toyed with them for years and that was in Linux at the time. One of the nicer ones was Xara, not sure the status of that these days though.

No, it was called XnView. Very nice image viewing program which is why I downloaded it. I had an image file I couldn't open, this was the only program I could find for free that would open it. Does a lot of other stuff as well.

XnView is a great freeware, portable app, and the dev has a few other interesting tools as well.

I agree. The reason I grabbed it was it supports 500 different types of image files, something that no one else does. I have really enjoyed what all it can do.

my 2cents: thanks to this gog sale it's the first time in years i'm missing half the sales on steam. And the other half hasn't made me spend a penny...

Ceht: I think the flash sales need to be shuffled better so people like me don't feel like they're in Groundhog Day as the same games keep popping up each time. 227 games over two weeks or more shouldn't leave me feeling like I'm mostly seeing the same 50 games over and over, ya know?
Well, bad news. With the 30 games at a time we have right now you'll see plenty of games more often today :)

At least we are starting to see the few remaining games that jMich had unearthed that were MIA until now (including the teased flash freebies) so that should make you happy :).
