I decided whimsically to snag a copy of Ceville when it whizzed by a few hours ago afterall, since my whimsical attempt to purchase it on the 18th was too slowpoke and the flash sale ended before I could complete the purchase. It tempted me again tonight though so I just said what the hell... :) That plus the Original War gift I received overnight brings my game catalogue almost up to Sparta! TO SPARTA!

The question now is... what game will be the one that puts me over the edge into full blown Spartaness? Hard to say! If I had complete freedom and power to decide it conclusively, it would be Star Wars X-Wing or one of the other games in that series mind you! But alas, I am all promo'd out now I think. Only game left that I can think of off the top of my head that's an unknown this promo period is whether Banished will make a surprise special bonus for us in the coming unknown things GOG has planned in the next week. Seems to be a highly anticipated one for many folks anyway.

But then... there's also the looming possibility of exciting new releases too that could pop up anytime (although not likely). But who knows! New release on Thursday: Star Wars X-Wing Alliance?

I'm going to go dust off my Saitek X52-Pro just to be prepared either way.

Indeed, although hopefully they return again some day with GOG Galaxy support along with other titles from the publisher.

Sad to see them go. I'm glad I collected the Arma series a few weeks ago.

Yeah, I got them in a promo a few month back.

Then just after the Spring Insomnia I found Original war, bought it, then a week later I heard it was being removed when they did the Farewell to Arma promo.

I remember wanting to get Original War before it disappeared but forgot. Hopefully it will turn up again.

Keep an eye open on the forums for giveaways that might include Original War also.

GAAAHHH I've done it again!

Just logged on to check the sale and saw 'Papers, Please' sitting at the top with about 6 minutes left. I've seen a lot of people commenting about this game, so I checked out the reviews/screenshots/promo video with every intention of grabbing it towards the end of the sale and came back to the home page with 42 seconds left!

Guess what? :-)

Oh yeah, another shiny box on my shelf. :-)

On one hand I'm glad I already had them in my library before we knew they were going away, on the other I wish I had not supported a publisher that stopped supporting GOG.

Knowing one's credit card number by heart has advantages, or disadvantages depending on the way you see it.

It's not even as complicated as my card number - I just need my PayPal password! Perhaps I should start using my card as it might curtail my spending! lol

In regards to ArmA, people buying the series before it was pulled may perhaps show the publisher just how many potential customers want their games here DRM free rather than on Steam, thus giving GOG some leverage to bring them back on board when they release Galaxy. (Along with any other misguided publishers that have removed their games from GOG). We can but hope.
Dont believe the Arma series is gonna come back in the near future but who knows. I bought them just because they were going to be removed and gonna play them eventually and try the dayZ mod.
Its just a shame that companies pull their games from GOG because this site is just getting more popular and with Galaxy launching I hope to see more online games being released here aswell
Would someone please kindly explain to me the alleged benefits of using Steam over GOG or any other sane method of playing PC games (like buying a non-Steam contaminated CD, for example) as I honestly cannot see the point in installing their dreadful client and not actually owning my games. I like a CD or an unrestricted digital download. I must be old-fashioned...
