Its the 4th appearance for Primordia I think, II wonder if any game appeared five or more times yet.

LaMulana is a great Metroidvania-styled platformer where you play a character modeled after Indiana Jones. It is Aztec/Incan-themed, but the game is quite frankly awesome. Try the old version for free to see if you like it. I should add that the music is fantastic.

Oh sorry, you're right it is the 3rd appearance for Primordia I made the mistake of assuming that RWarehall's GOG Summer Sale doc wasn't updated yet. :)

Why some of the games I own aren't marked in the front page?

Yeah, stopped marking those, too for me. Only happened since today, so I guess it's somehow related to the six-pack flash deals we've been getting...

Yeah, I keep seeing how much people dig the tunes, big selling point for me there (keep nearly pulling the trigger on Omnicron, if only it included the soundtrack!).

I don't have a problem with thematics when they are varied. I love SotN because even though the whole thing goes down in just one castle, the individual areas are distinct enough to make transitioning through them interesting and enjoyable.

I guess my question is, how diverse is the world of La Mulana, are there caves, jungles, graveyards and subterranean lakes to explore or is it like 96% ruined temple?

Yep, it's been that way all day. The servers have been under a heavy load all day as well. I've gotten the we are very popular right now so wait screen a several times today. I am not surprised they turned that stuff off.

The theme isn't varied much outside the overarching Mayan/Aztec/Incan theme; certainly not like SOTN. But, I wouldn't let that dissuade you. If you can get the game for cheap enough, I seriously doubt you'd dislike it. At least, I'd be very surprised if you didn't think it was a good game. And, either way, try the free one I posted, which has an intentional 8-bit charm to it.

This link will tell you a bit more and maybe help you make a judgement call on it, but I can say as someone who played through every GBA/DS Castlevania and SOTN I would hands-down give La-Mulana my personal recommendation :

Really!? I am surprised! It has done it to me on the front page several times as well as in the forums and also when trying to look at my wishlist and owned games. It doesn't bother me since I realize that they are getting hammered with people buying, which is great for them and by extension us as well! It was really bad this morning for me. I guess because everyone was picking up the bundles like I was doing! ;-)
