Just bought my 500th game. I decided on A Story About My Uncle, for several reasons.

1) It appeals to me strongly as a game.
2) I like the non-violent aspect.
3) I want to support promising new developers.
4) And I want to support GOG.

So I bought one of the few games with NO discount in this entire sale. And I'm pretty happy about that decision. :)

My weekend was about as violent as possible, at least in terms of on-screen deaths. I wiped out hundreds of millions with about 4 playthroughs of Defcon. :)

Congrats! The choice is very fitting and the game looks like a blast, I may have to pick it up myself to entertain myself while endlessly waiting for Banished! <3

Thanks folks, I have good hopes for the game. And I do hope that Banished appears soon for you all. It's a good game, though difficult. My first out ended, predictably, in the loss of all lives. I think I need to understand better how resources work in that game.

Congrats on reaching 500. I'm at 491 so maybe I should start thinking on whether I try to pick something significant or just let the chips fall where they may.

Every time someone mentions Banished, my "I want Banished!" stat point counter goes up by 10 points. It seems to be very much highly wanted in the forums lately, lots of chatter about it. It was high in Steam stats for quite a while too. Still in the top 100 but closer to the bottom now but still a positive note for it. I haven't heard anything bad about the game so far either. I really dig the graphics.

I hope my prediction that it will be one of GOG's freebie giveaways during the promo turns out to be true!

I would rather see the free game being one of those that are not discounted, or were only offered in one of the bundles, as giving away during a full day a game that was offered at -50% during the first x days would look a bit ... unfair . And, sorry to sound pessimistic, but Banished would be to nice a gift, so doesn't seem likely...

I noted at least 1 weird situation : the journeyman project is not on sale, at all, whereas the 2nd and 3rd games are discounted. Could it be an indication ? Has anyone noticed any other anomaly like that.

Does anyone have a hunch or some solid info on whether Jade Empire will go back on sale for 80% off? Does anyone think that all of the bundle deals will be offered one last time on the last day of the sale, as often happens at GOG or Steam?

I so badly need Shadowrun in my life..... I'm still banking on the end of sale, sale of the sale they do ^_^
