There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. So, whether you plan to stay inside, hike into the wilderness, or take a boat into the calm sea, we'll make sure your laptop is filled with great DRM-Free games you can enjoy anytime, anywhere. To that end, we're holding our [url=http://www.gog.com]2014 DRM-Free Summer Sale!

Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!

billie91: I've already bought about 80 games, GOG is ruining me.
I haven't played anything in almost a year. Now I am addicted .... There goes a years worth of fitness improvements *rolls eyes* "MUST STOP BUYING GAMES"

I am actually trying to play them this time instead of creating a horrendous backlog...

Pidgeot: Yes, that is exactly the point; whenever my script sees something that wasn't there before, it posts it to that list.

I have to assume something went wrong when you were copying the list, because with the way it's designed, it shouldn't be possible for you to only receive part of it.
I just clicked on the webpage and hit CTRL-A to select all, then pasted it. DId the same thing the second time just before I commented last and it showed all the games that were previously missing, and all the dupes so whatever the problem was before definitely seems to have worked itself out somehow. :)

billie91: My wishlist is almost complete. I'm waiting for the Myst games in the flash deals.
avatar
Matruchus: Im not sure if Myst games will be discounted. It does not seem so at the moment. But will cross fingers that they do.

Im waiting for Banished myself - hopefully it will be in a flash sale.
Sounds like alot of people are waiting for Banished to appear in the sale, myself included.
Nothing yet though. :-(

Backlogs are my middle name, hundreds of games unplayed, a couple at the moment only partway played. Boxes of CDs not yet played or ripped to computer, pile of magazines that I'm subscribed to left unread, piles of blu-ray movies unplayed and still in shrink wrap waiting for me to put them on my owned list (so I don't accidentally buy them again).

Of course if I stopped buying stuff I've have so much more time, money and perhaps a better outlook on life. Still the draw of sales spurs me on in my consumerist ways. Plus you have to balance out all the people pirating stuff or nothing would get made.

Matruchus: Anybody knows why Spellforce 2 Faith in Destiny is not on gog? It was released before Demons of the Past but its also thrue that its probably the only Spellforce 2 game with dlc - maybe thats the reason.
Because it is horrible. It was Jowoods last attempt to get some money. And some Indian studio messed it up. That is the hard truth :|

I know the feeling when you see almost the entire GOG catalog is on sales. I bought more than 100, and decided not to think so much.

I think there are other people who will buy massive amount of game given that this promo is so long and discount so big

I thought it was because Faith in Destiny is not completed? They sell it for episode 1, then release episode 2, 3 as DLC. I am thinking it is more of waiting the game to be lock down before GOG sells it.

Still since you mention it is horrible I will wait for some review before buying it. Thanks for the info or I will grab it when it comes since I like the previous spell force
After adding everything up I spent about 536.86 dollars by adding up all of my purcheases from the beginning....I was literally like holy crap how did this happen! Then I realized I had 250 games in my collection so I didn't feel so bad after all :)

I mean after all if I tired to buy 10 brand new triple AAA titles from gamestop it would probably cost me more for far less gameplay value. After this sale is over I don't think I will have to buy anymore computer games for the rest of my life. Theres like tens of thousands of hours worth of gameplay on my 8 TB hardrive now. There were alot of RPG games for sale after all. Kudos to GOG for ravaging my wallet.

Faith in Destiny is complete as far as I know. It has 3 DLC that are considered pretty good suprisingly. The DLC's were made by the same guys who now make SF3 and also made Demons of the Past. But the "main" addon FiD was concidered pretty bad and had some gamebreaking bugs on release.

Its just that everything is so cheap right now on GOG. I mean, some of the games are just 1.99 or less. Also I didn't bought much this year so i'm filling my catalog.
This sale is too much to take. My entire wishlist is gone. So is all my money. I think I'm pretty much done with buying stuff on GOG now, about time I start playing.
Are there still any new games in the flash rotation? I look every three or four hours and i recognize many games are there for the second or third time.

I want to buy a game which was not presented yet as a flash sale. That means, i can buy it for the 50% discount?

Yeah i know it is just a few dollars difference from 50% to maybe 70 or 80% discount, but i am so greedy;)
@grimgroove:

Good for you. For me, that will still take some time, but only a few of the titles in my list of around 30 games are actually of high priority (mostly just "Arcanum", actually).

"The Longest Journey" and "Outcast" would be also very interesting to me, but they are not even included in the 50%-sale, (un)fortunately.

I think you will get your chance probably when another games cycle begins some day later. This sale is supposed to go on for 15 days yet. And there were no givaways yet. It has really barely started :)

26 games bought 2 dlc bought and wishlit depleted as well as a large credit card bill :) Some really great games at a hell of a price and i worked out i would only get 3 AAA games for what i bought and probably only about 1/10 of the amount of game time.
