With 700+ games discounted up to 90% off, daily special Bundle Deals, a constant stream of exciting Flash Sales, and some fantastic surprise giveaways, we launch into the season of gaming joy!

The biggest celebration of DRM-Free gaming this season is right now, right here on GOG.com! It's warm and nice outside, the summer draws ever closer, so let's make sure it's full of fantastic games. There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. So, whether you plan to stay inside, hike into the wilderness, or take a boat into the calm sea, we'll make sure your laptop is filled with great DRM-Free games you can enjoy anytime, anywhere. To that end, we're holding our [url=http://www.gog.com]2014 DRM-Free Summer Sale!

Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!
Hmm, 30 games later, I need to stop! Only things left on my wish list are games in windows format I hope to come to mac one day...

It is a shame the daily deals have nothing for mac users, but hey I can't complain since they've offered me so much already.

To be fair, it's maybe a relief, it stops my bank account crying.

Matruchus: Outlast was in a flash sale yesterday (flash deal 7).

RWarehall: The original Outlast was flash deal #7 but JNich also found a screenshot for the DLC Outlast Whistleblower which has not not come up.
Isn't the dlc discounted the same as base game usually? I usually check the dlc when the base game is on sale. But you are probably right. Dlc was released in May so I don't really see the discount happening on this.

skeletonbow: Keystrokes
I think this says a lot about GOG's general level of awesomeness. The reason for some goglodytes nitpicking so much is that their expectations have been growing exponentially. GOG's been treating us so well that we can barely get enough awesomeness anymore. If we had grown to not expect anything at all from GOG, we wouldn't even bother ranting about perceived mistakes. So, ironically, people crticize GOG because they're doing stuff right. Human nature. Which doesn't mean GOG shouldn't go the extra mile to find out which nitpickers actually have a point and pay close attention to what they're saying.

Anyway, on a totally unrelated note, I happened to catch both the first Age of Wonders and Shadow Magic on a Humble Bundle not long ago. What's the deal with Shadow Magic? Is it a full-fledged third entry, or some kind of spin-off? That is, should I get AoW2 and play it before AoW:SM? Not that I'm all that bothered, since it seems like all of them will still spend a while in the humungous backlog of doom, but the more you know...

I did not try to buy it, not sure if you had that option with the flash deal or not.

phaolo: Uh oh, I'm at 255 games.. is that a sign to stop now? XD
avatar
skeletonbow: Only if you're counting them using an 8 bit integer. I'd recommend using at least a 16 bit integer for that though! :)
I'd better upgrade it lol.
Anyway, my wallet is destroyed at the moment, so at least a pause is mandatory.

No, Don't Starve DLC wasn't discounted and Blackguards one had a lower discount than the base game

Ah, ok. But I don't really see Outlast DLC to be discounted since it was released in May.
got me some 13 shiny pearls and now i'm just waiting for a wild jazzpunk to appear.
Is it just me or are there less Flash Sales? :(

Gnostic: I don't usually get new games unless the dev is worthy of my support like CD projekt Red or triumph studio which created great games without stuff that harass it's customers.

Is Daedalic Entertainment worth supporting?
avatar
xep624: I reckon Deadalic Entertainment is worth supporting - although they mainly have been doing adventure games, they have potential for making interesting RPGs or TBS games - lie Blackguards - that game got a "bad rep" for being to hard/unbalanced for most of the modern gamers... I loved the idea of playing with stats through trial and error to discover which statistic/spell/weapon damage type/attributes are crucial and which are not that important.... The level design was good - lots of different battles in different environments, the voice acting was not good and was annoying sometimes, some fights were tough if you had an archer/magician build character instead of melee fighter, but overall I'm glad that I jumped onto this game and I look forward to Blackguards 2 (coming in 2015...). Btw: the DLC was very short (only a few tiny quests extra in chapter 5....).
Ok bought it because I trusted you
avatar
jackster79: Is that 255 on the wishlist, or 255 on the shelf? If that is 255 purchases, well... you and I need to get together to discuss how that came to be.
255 total on the shelf, but I didn't buy all of them in this promo! XD
Some people here got the entire catalog, so I'm still in the normality ; )

Thanks and +1 for the info by various users.

30 games?! I can't imagine myself buying that many games at once. Hell, I've only bought six games so far with two more currently in consideration and I am already questioning if I'm starting to get a little out of control with the purchasing.

What do you do? collect digital box covers? I am the same exact way i buy and buy and buy. I bought 11 games this sale and the only game ive played out of them is Sir you are being Hunted...

I own 180 games on GoG, 900+ on Steam and around 150 on other platforms...

Dude... buying little pictures is addicting but sooner or later we will all need to stop and actually play the sh*t we bought. and once we do we wont buy another freaking thing for 5 years.

JMich found an image for the Whistleblower DLC for this Summer sale, so there is hope.
226 of the 235 images found have shown up in flash sales...
