With 700+ games discounted up to 90% off, daily special Bundle Deals, a constant stream of exciting Flash Sales, and some fantastic surprise giveaways, we launch into the season of gaming joy!

The biggest celebration of DRM-Free gaming this season is right now, right here on GOG.com! It's warm and nice outside, the summer draws ever closer, so let's make sure it's full of fantastic games. There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. So, whether you plan to stay inside, hike into the wilderness, or take a boat into the calm sea, we'll make sure your laptop is filled with great DRM-Free games you can enjoy anytime, anywhere. To that end, we're holding our [url=http://www.gog.com]2014 DRM-Free Summer Sale!

Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!
..and the second day, GOG's promo broke. WTF lol.

EDIT: ah no, now the game groups contain just 2 titles instead of 6.

ashwald: Where exactly does it say that the sale will last until the 30th of June? I look and look and look (etc.) at the front page and can't find it. :(

innerring: It seems Arx Fatalis will never be on sale :(
And I wouldn't hold my breath for it being on sale either. The rights situation to Arx Fatalis is, if I remember correctly, all sorts of messed up. The game is owned at least patrially by Bethesda, which isn't even a publisher on gog. If anything, we can be happy that AF is even still being sold on gog.
JMich found screenshots and made a list.

The following have not appeared in a flash sale as of yet:
(If these are intended for a flash sale...)
Alan Wake's American Nightmare
Banished
Omerta City of Gangsters
Omerta City of Gangsters Gold Edition
Omerta City of Gangsters The Japanese Incentive
Outlast Whistleblower
Still Life 2
Torchlight
Worms United
Wow! I'm glad I got almost everything I wanted the first go around, because with this new format of only 2 games (instead of 10) switching out every 36 minutes, I would not have stuck around long enough to purchase as much as I did initially. Strangely, like others, the one game I still wanted to get was Banished, but it appears that maybe its promo banner was created prematurely, in that it's no longer in the sale anymore...
This Age of Wonders bundle looks tempting. Who recommends them for players more accostumed to RTS and not TBS?
I think Gog must have read my post (or mind) the other day about a half year sale going until June 30... because I honestly had no clue this was going to happen XD

Maybe I should ask for more obscure things in the future?

real.geizterfahr: To me, this doesn't make a lot of sense... The summer sale goes until June 30 and some flash deals are repeating already. No need to give any games "even more" flash deals. I swear, in two days everyone will bitch around because flash deals are always the same games.
What you say is probably true but in all honesty, every single thing GOG does regardless of how awesome it is or how great their intentions are towards their loyal community - there is always going to be at least one, but more likely hundreds of people out there that complain about it. It is human nature to a certain degree, and statistically relevant that some people go out of their way to try to find the bad in things, or to have entitlement mentalities for example and their very personalities seek out negative things that exist only in their own minds because it is their own personal nature. Just like in politics and other situations where you have a leader or authority figure or someone deciding how something is going to be for a large non-trivial group of people - there will always be someone or some group of people out there who are unhappy about it or will pretend to be for attention or whatever.

You could for example drive through town in a car and giving away $5000 to every person who comes up to your car and give away that money to 100,000 people. There will be people out there who will complain that you didn't give away $10,000. There will be people out there who didn't know it was happening and/or fell asleep and will complain that you should have driven around for 8 days instead of 7 so that they could have found out about it and got money too. There will be people who take the money and then say negative things about you like "he's just giving money away to look high and mighty and draw attention to himself". There are more people who do these sort of things to a lesser or greater degree in life than there are people who don't, some are relatively minor and others just have a huge chip on their shoulder. Either way, there's an endless supply of negativity out there towards just about everything, and anyone in a decision making position that intersects with the opinions of thousands of people needs to not only be aware of it but to expect it and be able to deal with the constant influx of negative comments and feedback, whether it is in any way warranted or not because it is just human nature. Just look at the comments section on every single video ever uploaded to Youtube in the history of the website for 100+ examples per video. :)

So, it really doesn't matter what GOG does in a sale they will always get negative feedback from some number of people every single time and it's absolutely guaranteed. The only thing they need to be concerned about really is to keep an eye on things for emerging patterns to see if there are just a few negative personalities that like to complain about everything in life, or if there's a real problem that is affecting a large number of people in a way that they didn't intend or that they can adjust and improve the experience for everyone, and then go ahead and make adjustments or even just take notes for future offerings for example.

The day GOG does any kind of sale, giveaway, promo or anything at all out of the norm and does not have at least somebody out there complain about it, is the day the sun becomes a red dwarf and swallows the Earth. ;o)

I already own all games from the current packs, except for AoW2 Wizard's Throne and Unreal 2.
Are those good and should I get them?

Unreal 2 is a bit weak if compared to the first Unreal, but isn't a bad game, you can buy without fear

xep624: Blackguards for $15 that's cheap... I bought it for $45 and I had quite a bit of fun with it (chapter 3 is sooo cool). Grab it if you like a mix of TBS with a dash of RPG ...

Gnostic: I don't usually get new games unless the dev is worthy of my support like CD projekt Red or triumph studio which created great games without stuff that harass it's customers.

Is Daedalic Entertainment worth supporting?
I reckon Deadalic Entertainment is worth supporting - although they mainly have been doing adventure games, they have potential for making interesting RPGs or TBS games - lie Blackguards - that game got a "bad rep" for being to hard/unbalanced for most of the modern gamers... I loved the idea of playing with stats through trial and error to discover which statistic/spell/weapon damage type/attributes are crucial and which are not that important.... The level design was good - lots of different battles in different environments, the voice acting was not good and was annoying sometimes, some fights were tough if you had an archer/magician build character instead of melee fighter, but overall I'm glad that I jumped onto this game and I look forward to Blackguards 2 (coming in 2015...). Btw: the DLC was very short (only a few tiny quests extra in chapter 5....).
