The biggest celebration of DRM-Free gaming this season is right now, right here on GOG.com! It's warm and nice outside, the summer draws ever closer, so let's make sure it's full of fantastic games. There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. So, whether you plan to stay inside, hike into the wilderness, or take a boat into the calm sea, we'll make sure your laptop is filled with great DRM-Free games you can enjoy anytime, anywhere. To that end, we're holding our [url=http://www.gog.com]2014 DRM-Free Summer Sale!

Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!

mortalkombat: sam and max (telltale) is just an average attempt (my opinion) lacking in many aspects...as is back to the future....
but, if you are hardcore fan of the series, go for them....
avatar
phaolo: Did you try Tales of Monkey Island too? It seems funny at start, but the graphic is so so and the reviews are mixed..

P.S: I played and loved MI 1,2,3
Tales of MI is a great game as in...you get some taste of the originals (1+2+3+4)....
but i'm not saying its great per se or it can compete with the classics...
but if you are a fan, play it, you should enjoy it.....

i would/could buy, all the telltale collection (MI + sam&max 3 seasons + backtofuture) if I wanted to....play something that gets close to old school adventures......

i definitely encourage anyone to get Tales of MI and sam and max series (at the current price)
because he will have some quality time....
prequisites: you must like point+click adventure games

and definitely Tales of MI is better than Sam and max series

final verdict: no game of the above will qualify for "Game of the year" award or anything....

Thank you, maybe I'll just wishlist it, because this (great) promo killed my wallet.
I lost count of the games bought, probably 40 or more O_o'
Score! Got lucky just before heading out to a BBQ dinner shortly, and was able to pick up Disciples Sacred Lands Gold and complete the whimsical buy of that series just in the nick of time while it is whizzing by. Great timing GOG! It's like they knew when my ride would be getting here and timed it all just right or something. LOL

Ok, with all of the amazing deals I scored this promo both wishlisted games and whimsical buys of games that ultimately are probably up my alley as well whether I need them or not, plus all the GOG freebies, generous community giveaways and individual gifts received throughout the last few weeks I think it is safe to say I think I'm done now finally. Note though that I said *think*... LOL

Then again, Banished is still the big mystery in this Summer Promo yet isn't it! Hmm, I think I may have to go to that BBQ in a maximum of 2.5 hour intervals and come back to check just in case hehe. Maybe on someone's mobile there!

In the mean time, good luck with the Flash movie giveaways everyone, and don't forget to follow GOG on Facebook and/or Twitter to not miss out on those opportunities! They've proven too tough for me mind you. :)

Take care folks!
Oh, great googily-moogily - King of Dragon Pass is coming around again :)

Finally got it. I can sleep tonight.

Wow, got pretty dead in here for being the final blowout extravaganza day. :) Hope everyone filled their plates well with games. :)

Banished freebie tomorrow morning before promo ends! :) Probably not...
A ton of games just reverted back to full price. Sometimes Always Monsters, Sudeki, Blazblue, Blackguards likely many others aren't discounted anymore... a bunch are still half off (Alpha Centuri, Great Battles, Bionic Dues, Harvester, Blackguards DLC, etc).

...It looks like Escape Goat 2 got a permanent price drop to $9.99 (from $14.99).

With less than 4 hours to go I'm starting to lose hope in Banished beeing a freebie. Since there hasn't been any other freebie this entire last sale day I doubt there will be from now on. Wish I could just let go of the rumour and just buy it! (I will in the last 30 minutes of the sale)

Banished is a simcity clone....which centers around stone age....
from one hand you collect supplies (food, wood, iron, coal, stone and others)
and you have to protect your people (aka ensure housing, food, warm clothing, and later on education, entertainment etc)
you have to grow population and make a sustainable environment.....

if you like these type of games, i would recommend anyone buying it....since you gonna spent at least 20-30 hours in a simclone game

My last hope is that they're going to do like the other freebies and only put Banished on for 3 hours or half an hour. If it's 3 hours, they'll put it on at the next o'clock so that the end of the freebie coincides with the end of the sale. Or if it's only half an hour, they'll probably do it in two hours time so as to reward the suck- loyalists who hung on until the grim end.
I hope, I hope. Please GOGs, make Banished a freebie!
hey gog, why don't you bring that bullfrog 85% pack back again around christmas or sometime?

til' then
So... scratch the 3 hour freebie hope. Please be free for half an hour...*fingers and toes crossed*

But I want my hunter to die due to an unknown disease, causing the rest of the village to die of famine and freezing because the woodcutter triped and broke his leg and there was no one* to collect firewood for the winter! Does simcity provide that kind of punishment?

Oooh, just got my first GOGbear!
I think we're all waiting to see if Banished will come up, but if it doesn't, I predict that in the last half hour there'll be a flurry of orders for Banished. I know I'll be one of them. ;)

if i recall correctly simcity had the natural disasters factor..... its been over a decade though...

or maybe die of starvation? or maybe crushed by a rock/stone?or maybe from a tornado?
