The biggest celebration of DRM-Free gaming this season is right now, right here on GOG.com! It's warm and nice outside, the summer draws ever closer, so let's make sure it's full of fantastic games. There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. So, whether you plan to stay inside, hike into the wilderness, or take a boat into the calm sea, we'll make sure your laptop is filled with great DRM-Free games you can enjoy anytime, anywhere. To that end, we're holding our [url=http://www.gog.com]2014 DRM-Free Summer Sale!

Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!
Hey folks,

great sale so far. Some new games in my shelf. THANK You GoG :-)

What do you think. Will there be a extra big surprise at the end of the sale, like the free give aways some days ago?

Does GoG planning something special?

Please refrain from posting links to illegal sources.
I'm not stupid enough to do that.
As far as I know, the link in question is totally legal.

Heimklonhm: Mouahahahaha.

I have found it for free!
I won't tell you where it is until you log back on and beg on your knees for the link! ;)

To GOG moderators : Am I allowed to post a link to this game??? Please tell me before you ban me. ;)
I doubt it's legit, so please abstain from posting any links.

I assume he is talking about abandonware site. And now there is a question how much such sites are or are not illegal.

As far as we know right now there will be some contests on social media.

Be aware that just because the game is in a legal limbo and someone decides to put it up as "abandonware", does not make it legal. GOG is not cool with abandonware sites.

Indeed.

Now that I've read the .nfo file.
I'll refrain.

Sorry for false hopes. I really am...

Well, can I at least ask if the site I got it from is legal to you guys?

I really will refrain.
The more I read that .nfo file to more I'm like. Damn. Shouldn't have oponed my mouth.
Again, sorry.

No problem, better safe than sorry.

If those sites are Illegal, why the heck aren't they shut down?
I'm not genius in the Interwebz and even I managed to find one...
I think something on the Internet that even *comes with* a ".nfo" file pretty much speaks for itself without bothering to download it or open the file. Seriously. :)

I can hear Red now.
I can feel his eyes on the back of my neck and as I turn around to look at him he says out loud his usual :

"Dumbass..."

Yup.

That's how I feel.

I'll be quiet for now. For quite some time.

I guess because publishers don't care for games there to sue site owner. There was times, years ago (around 2000 or 2001) that I used abandonware sites. Now didn't even bother, GOG is more than enough.

Because it's the internet. Look how quickly you found it. It would take lots of wasted money and time trying to get those sites of the Internet. It's better for companies like GOG to not be associated with them. I doubt GOG wants to be known as the place to get maybe legal games.

thanks for the info.

Well, so we shall watch fb carefully ;-)
Abandonware sites are 110% legal....
the content they have may be legal or illegal....
or it can apply to copyright laws of the country where the domain is hosted...
depends on the shared material basically

e.g.
question: the Threepwood bay is legal or illegal???
answer: it is 100% legal
question: their content???
answer: depends.... the host admins dont take responsibily for that uploaders host/share on their site....
so, besides the material's copyright laws, there is also the laws that apply on each country for "downloading material that is protected by copyright laws" e.g. Germany

question: Facebook.com is legal or illegal???
answer: there are many developed countries where facebook is illegal (aka you face jail time by country's laws)

I found an answer about that touchy subject on that site that cannot be named.
All what you guys have said it true. Sigh.

Tonight, I'll go to bed less ignorant...

I am now scared. Should I delete my posts?
