The biggest celebration of DRM-Free gaming this season is right now, right here on GOG.com! It's warm and nice outside, the summer draws ever closer, so let's make sure it's full of fantastic games. There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. So, whether you plan to stay inside, hike into the wilderness, or take a boat into the calm sea, we'll make sure your laptop is filled with great DRM-Free games you can enjoy anytime, anywhere. To that end, we're holding our [url=http://www.gog.com]2014 DRM-Free Summer Sale!

Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!
I think I made my last purchases today (both here and Steam). My account has been totally consumed but I am happy, The last game I bought here is Dyad (it is 0.75 $ less than Steam price) so once more both Gog and I are happy,. I wouldn't normally buy this kind of games but good reviews here and a Metacritict rating of 80 shaped up my decision.

Before this summer sale thing started, I had promised myself that I would not buy any other game for one year from the end of June, Now it is time to play all those purchases and wait for the next summer sale:D Though I am still waiting for a last minute nice surprise from GOG before the campaign ends.

I'm on the fence about Back to the Future.

Considering that I'd be getting into it with nostalgia-fueled goggles from one of the GREATEST MOVIES EVER, what would I find?

Would it be a delightful and respectful story which expands upon a delicious childhood memory? Or would it end up in disappointment as nothing can live up to those standards?

I only played it briefly for a few hours but I enjoy point n click adventure games and the game engine was pretty nice compared to the type of games in the genre that I am more used to. The animation is done very well and it has a fun playful feel to it. I'm a fan of the movies myself, and I think the game turned out pretty good or at least what I've seen of it so far anyway. Can't say if another movie fan would like the game but it's a title worthy of the name IMHO.
Hello everybody. I just finished FlatOut 2 a day before yesterday. If you want the game it's behind this code:

E: Aaaand... it's redeemed.

I bought all Might and Magic games except 9 because its rating is three stars, which means that GOG members do not like it. Maybe I am relying on others' opinions too much???:D I try not to buy games with ratings less than four stars.

And why is OUTCAST not discounted???? It seems to be a very exciting game.

Considering it's coming to the last days of the sale, any thoughts on when, if and how Banished is going to appear?

My thinking after reading some of the other comments is that it won't be a free giveaway, but it will be discounted further than the 50% it is now. How much further? Maybe 75%? And it'll only be discounted for a while. It'll appear on the flash sales banner and like the giveaways on Tuesday only be up for the 3 hours it takes to cycle through.

Also, it'll come up on Sunday to keep people interested until that last full day.

My hope is that it'll be a free giveaway, though. :P

It's a crap shoot as to whether it will show up at all in the promo, and if it does whether it will be free or just discounted. Personally I still think there is promise for it being a surprise flash sale freebie for anywhere from a half hour to 2 hours on the 29th as a way of drawing people back to the site for a final all inclusive encore sale. If they were to have it as a discounted game instead though, it would make more sense to me to put it in the regular flash sale rotation than to make it a one day discount that shows up only once or twice.

So my thoughts are now that Banished will be a short term freebie offer to draw interest and promote a final encore sale on the 29th. Being an in-demand title would give it a great level of magnetism, but being very limited time to 30-120 minutes or so would make it exclusive enough so as to not dilute the game's popularity or price people are willing to pay for it normally.

I hope your prognosis is correct, because it would glue me to the computer for the whole of the 29th! In fact, after JMich et al's detective work uncovering all the bundles and flash sale games, GOG probably capitalised on all the interest in Banished by holding on to it as a potential freebie, thus inciting more interest and more people logging in every day to see what's what.
On a side note, anyone else think the new Paypal look is terrible? I'm being asked to complete my "profile" and that I am 85% done. Like WTF, this isn't Facebook, you hold my money and deal with my transactions, that's it. I don't need a Paypal Facebook where I get status updates "Jill just spent 600$ on X via PayPal!" "Like this status" I don't even...
