The biggest celebration of DRM-Free gaming this season is right now, right here on GOG.com! It's warm and nice outside, the summer draws ever closer, so let's make sure it's full of fantastic games. There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. So, whether you plan to stay inside, hike into the wilderness, or take a boat into the calm sea, we'll make sure your laptop is filled with great DRM-Free games you can enjoy anytime, anywhere. To that end, we're holding our [url=http://www.gog.com]2014 DRM-Free Summer Sale!

Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!

blotunga: 80%. I was undecided about the Gothic games, but there still is an encore... Also there was no very good deal to some games that I want but not at the current prices. These are for example Lionheart, Space Colony HD and Democracy 3.

Niggles: Im still eyeballing Gothic 1, Subwar 2050, Return to krondor, ...i think Shadowrun Dragonfall and Ascendant can wait til next sale... ive well and truly already blown my budget ....
If you enjoy Return to Krondor, you may also want to keep an eye out for Blackguards. In many ways they're very similar, with a fairly linear story spanning several chapters taking the characters from fight to fight until the middle of the game where they open up for some sidequesting. The fights in blackguards offer plenty of environmental dangers or opportunities too, so you can attempt to Jackie Chan a room.

jepf999: Just curious:

I read a lot of posts mentioning "blown my budget", "out of money", etc.

We're talking about games sold for 2 to 5 $ on average. So even if I would buy 20 or 30 games, I would have reached an amount which is normally needed to buy just 2 or 3 full price games (e. g. a PS 3 game for 50 or 60$).
So how can you be "out of money" if you bought say 10 games for 2 $ per game.

No offense, just curious :-)
Some are like me, I`ve bought myself a paysafecard with 25 € at the beginning of the month and I promised myself that I won`t spend more. Now, after buying the whole month thru my paysafecard has about 4.50 € left, so ,I don´t have much left to spend this month!
I was thinkin bout buying another card, but my wallet has a knife and tells me:" Don`t even think about it motherf.....!!, so I better not buy another paysafecard! :-)

Niggles: So has everyone bought everything they wanted?. im running out of ideas lol

mortalkombat: in addition, there are people who play 1-2 games for 2-4 years, and just these 2 games.
so, they spent 100 $ for 2 games, mainly popular multiplayer games that have a crowd and full servers running 24/7 for a full decade....e.g. Warcraft 3 Dota or WoW (world of warcraft) ..
i had friends (back in my days as a Uni student) who bought only 1 game (above), and they were playing only that game for 2-3-4 years
I sometimes feel like I've been playing Heroes of Might and Magic non-stop since 1995.
I've been looking at the "lists".... am I correct that there is not (or has not been) a "Dark Fall" bundle in this sale? Thanks.

No Dark Fall series bundle, only the latest instalment is part of the Flash Deals.

I'm pretty sure the Dark Fall games aren't a sale bundle. I think the only one appearing in the flash sales is Lost Souls.

If they have $20 to their name/card/bank/etc. and they spend it on anything that totals to $20 then they've blown their budget. :)
Got my Blackguards like I promised I'd buy from GOG for their freebies.
Now I am happy.

I know noboby cares but I had to say it.

Good day gents!

There are a lot of people around here who are students, involuntarily out of work, or from places in the world where $20 represents a day's, or even a week's, pay for the average worker. Plus, there are a few flash deals that are $9.99-29.99 for new games, or bundles that are close to $20.00 if you don't already own any of the games in them. It's all relative to individual situation, amount of games purchased, and price of games. :)
@ HypersomniacLive and Luned....thanks for the replies!

We all like to hear that people got the games they have been waiting for! This is just THAT kind of community! I am positive you will enjoy it immensely!
The thread has not been updated to "day 14" or with the new bundles.
