With 700+ games discounted up to 90% off, daily special Bundle Deals, a constant stream of exciting Flash Sales, and some fantastic surprise giveaways, we launch into the season of gaming joy!

The biggest celebration of DRM-Free gaming this season is right now, right here on GOG.com! It's warm and nice outside, the summer draws ever closer, so let's make sure it's full of fantastic games. There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. So, whether you plan to stay inside, hike into the wilderness, or take a boat into the calm sea, we'll make sure your laptop is filled with great DRM-Free games you can enjoy anytime, anywhere. To that end, we're holding our 2014 DRM-Free Summer Sale!

Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!

grimwerk: It did?

I know it's not a very goglike attitude, but as soon as it appeared on the front page, I decided I wanted sleep more than I wanted five dollars worth of something I won't play on my shelf. Now you tell me I'd have been waiting far longer than the expected 30 minutes for it to become available. It's a small thing, but I'm happy to have my decision confirmed correct, thanks!
It hovered on 'coming soon' for 2.5 hours or so allegedly then snapped over to 30m. If it was intended to be a half hour promo (lets assume it was) then it was just a bit confusing compared to how the other games went through the list with the natural flow. I suppose there are better ways a freebie could be more clearly done if they were to do more like that in the future but I suspect it was just a one off oddity rather than intentional confusion. Just the nature of things sometimes. :) I ended up waking up by alarm to find out it passed, but I really needed the sleep so that's ok. ;o) Hope everyone that hung around waiting for it managed to get it though, it's a good game. I should install both of them one of these days and actually complete them this time. ;)
Will someone please keep an eye out for Journey to the Center of the Earth for me? I haven't seen it come up since the first couple of days, and I'd really like to play it. I could trade any Steam up to $3 value for it (I think it was on flash for $2.49)

Ouch, you *JUST* missed that a short while ago. I was eyeing it up and talked myself out of it for now as I'm trying to exercise restraint. :)

You can set a watch notification for it on http://isthereanydeal.com/#/page:game/price?plain=journeytocenterofearth to get notified by email when they spot it on sale, but there is time lag between how often they poll various websites. Not sure how long it is but they appear to be catching the flash sale items on GOG from their history chart. If you get an email notification from it though you probably have to FLY over to the GOG site fast to buy it before the timer runs out as it'll likely be tight on the timing due to their polling frequency.

Hope this helps!

Maxvorstadt: 125% off? You get 7.49 $ for buying it? Can`t believe that, but it`s not the first of april so...
It was just a glitch, they've fixed it so now it's only 75%
Bought Don't Starve during the sale and considering getting the dlc for it. Does it add a lot to the base game play?

My family and I really liked Return to Mystery Island, so I have also been looking out for Journey. So I watched a let's play of the opening, and the woman playing mentioned a particular item on the first screen. Apparently, if you fail to pick it up, you cannot complete the game. What's more, you won't realize this until the very end of the game. That sort of nonsense isn't for me. Assuming, of course, she's correct.

I'm finding that let's play videos and second-page gog reviews prevent me from buying much.

Really?!? That's AWFUL! I surely hope it's not true, since the point of adventure games is to explore everything and pick up *everything* you can find!! It's such a shame, as I played the demo years ago and enjoyed it! :(

hummer010: In my very limited testing, Torchlight II on steam requires the client to be running - if it's not, the client auto-starts.

I've never logged in - I'm not sure I even have a runic account. I've only ever played single player though.
Most Steam games will do that by default though, but some can be told via the commandline to not activate Steam however I have no idea about Torchlight 2.

I went back and found the comment. She talks about it at roughly 5:30, so you can skip ahead if you'd like.

I'm admittedly still tempted.

Celton88: I wonder what the finale will look like!
avatar
TullyFernado: That's a thing? If it isn't obvious by the bit on the left there, I only (happily) discovered GOG this past winter during that sale, and I haven't really followed the forums. Consequently, I'm not familiar with whatever conventions or traditions and such may exist. So, what does this finale of which you speak usually entail?
Usually a big compilation of all the previous flash sales and bundles combined, but not always. I wasn't expecting the freebies yesterday either, so who knows? GoG does a good job of keeping us guessing ;)
