The biggest celebration of DRM-Free gaming this season is right now, right here on GOG.com! It's warm and nice outside, the summer draws ever closer, so let's make sure it's full of fantastic games. There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. So, whether you plan to stay inside, hike into the wilderness, or take a boat into the calm sea, we'll make sure your laptop is filled with great DRM-Free games you can enjoy anytime, anywhere. To that end, we're holding our [url=http://www.gog.com]2014 DRM-Free Summer Sale!

Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!

Serrith: It better not be waking Mars, i just bought it this morning. It wasn't much, but it would feel like a kick in the nuts to see it free 2 hours later.

Still great sales !
Its not don't worry because if you hover over it your mouse cursor ( For lack of a better word phrase) should change the past free games in coming soon did this aswell. Something more concrete is that Waking Mars has gone on the flash sale a bunch of times and it always costs money. Alan wake has still yet to go as it has never gone yet.

tammerwhisk: I hope it moves up before I kill over here.
*snort* I assume you mean keel. Sorry, normally I don't call typos out, but I laughed way too hard not to. :D

As to why it didn't move, my guess is because we are now in a new day and every day has had a different flash sale rotation. As in, the number of games in each round of flash sales change every day. Some times 4 bump up, sometimes 8, sometimes 2. Sometimes very few are displayed at once (like 10?) sometimes a whole slew (like 30). Sorry if that's all garbled I'm rather sleep deppy myself at the moment.

Strange things are happening on GOG:) When I opened it just a few minutes ago, the front page was a regular (the one before summer salge) page and "Seven Cities of Gold: Commemorative Edition" was marked as "owned" although I did not buy it (but I want to have it lol). So, I thought, God heard me and answered my wishes, he he:) But after a while, the page turned into its summer sale form again, and of course the game is still NOT mine:)

johnnygoging: somebody guessed it would be alan wake. how did they know?
There were references to the directory and filenames of the background images of the flash sale games discovered in the GOG web page source code which were decoded and put into a list of about 238 games. Of those, all but 8 games showed up as discounted games in the flash sale. The remaining 8 were speculated to either be free games that would show up at some point in the flash sale (GOG mentioned there would be some) or additional discounted games that would show up late to the party.

Yesterday the missing 8 games started showing up and they announced there would be 4 freebies. From there it was a matter of speculation and elimination as the day went on.

Or as GladOS says "And the science gets done.", although I have to break it to everyone...

The cake is a lie.

:)

It is a pretty funny typo (after you pointed it out I had to laugh), between literal insomnia and the sales my sleep schedule has been decimated. And now my brain keeps having "glitches" where I type the wrong thing or render a decent thought into an incoherent mess of unrelated words.

Yep, that's being widely reported now. I filed a bug report to GOG along with a detailed description, date and times, list of IP addresses of their servers the web pages were served from, my own IP address so they can possibly find me in their server logs, and screenshots demonstrating the problem. Hopefully others have done similar as well. I pointed them to forum posts here that I noticed people were discussing similar experiences, but it's good if others report the problems too to help them narrow things down.
Damn I already got American Nightmare in the last Insomnia Sale to push things up when it started to slow down on the last 5 games. D:

As that is totally plausible, I don't think thats right because a day in our time is not a day in gog sale time because a complete 24 hour cycle from when a sale starts (for me at 8am) . They wouldn't change it if the sale is still going. I think it wasn't supposed to go and it showed up in another games place on accident when it was really meant to go later. I think there is a more detailed answer but this is the best I got. Also the next rotation is still 6 games so it hasn't changed, but I think some odd glitch happened and we saw it before we should have.
yeah its confirmed pretty much

the DOM says it.

<div data-gameid="1207659038" data-gameindex="alan_wakes_american_nightmare" class="flash-deal js-price gog-price flash-deal--soon js-flash-free-btn flash-deal--free " <- this part
*Yaaaawn* Good morning.

So, status report since Torchlight? Oh, I see. Well, I guess I'll just click on Alan here and be done with it.

Seriously, did some of you really stay up all night for that last freebie? Weirdos.
The GOG starting time of day for things is 9:00am EST though, 9 to 9. Right now would leave a 5 hour discrepancy time hole which could suck the universe through it and create a singularity. We don't want that. We just need to wait for our good friend Alan Asleep to wake up. Don't agitate him or disturb his sleep though or he might turn into Alan Keane!

It is entirely possible for that to not have been a typo. Not in actuality, but only in plausibility.

Just read my message and back off. Guessing before the finish is spoiling fun for others. What do you do not understand ? You dont have to enter, you do not have to do anything, just dont write the game names. So hard ?
Im allowed to have my own opinion.
