There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. To that end, we're holding our [url=http://www.gog.com]2014 DRM-Free Summer Sale!

Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!

Weegee1: I knew it was going to be Alan Wake AN oh well atleast I get a gift code for anyone who doesn't have it. Well better now than 4AM

darkvamp001: Are you staying up for American Nightmare? I think I'm about to pass out, and would love a gift code. I can trade Torchlight for it, though I suppose you already got that one.
I don't think so I have to be somewhere at 6:00 so I stayed up too late as is. Sorry but I think I'll die if I stay up any later.

MauroR: Guys, I think that the next freebie will be for sure Alan Wake: American Nightmare. If you scroll the page it's the only that you can click (of course it gives you an error because it isn't active yet, it happened also for Torchlight). It's in this way that I've discovered the other freebies.

Coelocanth: They were actually all deduced quite a while ago through some sleuthing by JMich.
Yeah, I know, I've arrived late to the the train hehe :)

Niggles: Question is, will Banished (if not for free) end up with a higher discount?. Isnt it pretty much the only one aside from the DLC one which hasnt appeared at all?
Yep, those are the only two left. Maybe Banished will be an all-day freebie at the end of the sale? Heh, one can hope, although I'll be more than happy with a big discount on it. It's probably the last game I'll buy for myself in this sale.
Is it just me or does the sodding MoO3 never leave the front page?
Seeing all the posts in this thread about it has me curious, whys everyone want banished? I haven't heard anything about it in the areas i frequent.
Yeah, looks like the freebie turned out to be Alan Wake... but... I have a new theory... if Banished isn't free, why hasn't it showed up in the flash promo yet? If it were just discounted, you'd think it would have showed up today with all the others that showed up. Could be perhaps it is a freebie on a different day! Or that they want it restricted to a smaller window at a nice discount. Either way, it's one of the final holdouts we're waiting for to complete JMich's list of games so... something is still up in the air about it. :)
Second good game, second game I already had. :P

But nice one for those who don't have it though. The original was better but this one was interesting, albeit a bit short.

It looks like a genuinely fun and interesting game to me. I've heard that it's fairly challenging, as well. You're supposed to manage a settlement of people, and get it to grow without everyone dying. I really like the game's look and atmosphere, and I really hope it comes up at a good discount at least, because I'd love to try it.

It just looks like a really nice, relaxing town/city builder.

Wow, I didn't know there is the way how to identify which a freebie is like that. But, needless anymore! lol

Yeah... and I guess it was a bit naive to hope for Banished. ;p
Well, more coffee, here I come!

skeletonbow:
My mistake actually, it seems they were planning a MMO, but instead made Torchlight 2 and dropped the MMO idea. But who knows :)

Do you think that they may do re-runs of free games that went so if they chose another day and do 4 free games again and Banished would show up there and one game wouldn't go again or would they just do all of them for free on that day? Someone get JudasIsacarot on the line stat!!

Forgot to mention that Omerta Gold hasn't gone so maybe they might just do another day. Or maybe I'm just speculating too much in which case if I brought any spirits up I'm sorry. (Don't sue me)
